What are your thoughts on a report like this? How accurate do you think it could possibly be?

I would love to read it, but its a very hefty price for… what? I would have liked to see a bit more of a preview or samples of what data it contains. The preview they do have is quite vague.
Anyone can write a Report, its the sources and data behind it thats interesting. I never had a email from Xbiz about a survey, did anyone here participate? Neither can I see important things like amount of participants etc (but I only had a quick look, might be there somewhere).

Lavender Lounge Research ™ has also produced a report on the State of the Adult Industry. The 200 page report consists of 199.75 pages of ads from billing companies and from blowhards that are still coasting on money they made in 1998 when they had no competition. Interviews with the same people that advertise and a few charts and graphs fill the remaining quarter page.
The essence of our report can be summed up in one paragraph:
-People buy porn, sometimes more, sometimes less.
-To be successful, lie about your stats to get suckers to promote your stuff for you in hopes they will make money.

The thing is, if there had been a REAL proper market report that covered the adult site of things I would have bought it straight away.
The only reliable data reports are made by companies like Nielsen etc, however their reports are so expensive that its not worth it for smaller sites like mine / me.
