In addition to that could I get a couple of you to check out their sites and see if you can get any of the videos to work on their tours? I click them and the box opens up where the video player should be and my browser says connecting to longtail video but nothing happens.
I currently promote williamhiggins but just found out they also have williamhigginscash… From what I can tell the sites under the later promgram look like old sites that no longer update but wanted to check with others…
This is somewhat of a related question: does Higgins limit the number of videos a paying member can download? I actually just joined as a paying member… got tired of asking for a comp membership and never getting a response. Can’t write a review unless I see the site! It looks like there is a counter that is keeping track of bandwidth or downloads per month. Have not been cut off yet so I’m wondering if there is a limit they give members per month. Has anyone else has seen this? I’ve never seen anything like this on a site.
if a site has to have a limit, 11 gig doesn’t seem so bad. i just reviewed a site with a half a gig per day limit and another with a 5.5 gig per day limit.
At the moment there is 11GB daily download limit applied during the first 30 days of your membership.
11GB of data equals 10 hours of our highest resolution HD videos! Even if you exceeded the daily download limit, you can still stream our videos and browse our photogalleries without any limitation. The download limit counter resets every 24 hours at 12:00 noon Central European Time. The download limit fights against hi-speed download robots and keep the download speed reasonably fast for all members. It should not affect any regular users of our website. At average speed of 512kbps it takes approximately 24 hours to download 11GB of data, that is why we chose the 11GB download limit.
I have just reviewed two of these sites today. SW Nude and CFNMEU and they are still updating. I’m quite familiar with William Higgins and see many of the current models in scenes on these other two sites. The episodes are dated and also reflect weekly updates. I hope this helps.
Did the videos play for you on their tours? I can’t see sending traffic to a site when the videos won’t play… I’ve tried in IE, Firefox and Chrome and get nothing… Been like this ever since I started this thread. I’ve contact William Higgins about this as well but didn’t hear anything back.
Not to mention the huge traffic leaks at the bottom of their tours
just tried these three sites and the videos on all three tours all play fine for me, they are using jwplayer and I can download the sample videos too, so not sure why they work for me and not for you.
I just figured out how to get the videos to play… When the video player window opens, wait a REALY long time… After I do that the video starts just fine. LOL
The problem, at least on my end, is that when the window opens to play the video it looks for this file “http://content.longtailvideo.com/js/ping.js” which takes an ungodly amount of time to download… My browser hangs and doesn’t do anything else till this file downloads preventing the video to start… I experience the same behavior in Firefox, Chrome and IE. What browser are you using?
Investigating further, I thought maybe my ISP just has a bad connection to this particular server at longtailvideo so, I tried from my server in Dallas and it also had to wait a LONG time for this file to download.
