why don't low cost sites do this?

you know, i’ve seen a lot of porn sites that charge between $14.95 and $19.99 per month, but none make an issue of it. well, i finally found a site that did:

warning: straight site-
http://girlfriendfootage.com/tour/

i’ve seen lots of other sites with a similar price point, but none that use the words “low price”, “cheaper”, “inexpensive” so well or so boldly or on the first tour page.

and the graphic at the bottom just keeps it going: http://girlfriendfootage.com/tour/x_92.gif

plus the complete explanation on the tour page about what it will say on your bill instead of a small “discretely billed” on the join page, they say in bold: "all your bank account statement will state is “CCBILL”. Not “porn, not “pussy” - just CCBILL. CCBILL processes a number of sites besides adult - enough said ;)”

i hear this site sells great and i think they are implementing some simple but very good ideas. i’d love to see more sites that have low prices announcing it up front. after all, it’s a selling point, so why not really sell it?

Oh my that was funny!

Do lower prices in this economy actually work?

Re: why don’t low cost sites do this?

wonder how much they sell in the members area, otherwise they must be living in a trailor park lol  after webmasters, ccbill fee’s etc, not to metion content, they must be making 30 cents a member lol, and i haven’t even got to BW yet

Re: why don’t low cost sites do this?

there are a some really great HUGE sites for under $20 around with few or no upsells - and these guys do NOT live in a trailer park. a couple that sort of leap to mind:

Re: why don’t low cost sites do this?

Didn’t Bjorn say something about about promoting sites with less then a $20 membership fee wasn’t worth the effort for such a low commission? (paraphrasing)

Re: why don’t low cost sites do this?

I think one of the reason people dont try and sell their site as cheap is that they have spent so freaking much time building it and dont want to then turnaround and lable their “lovechild” as cheap…

Somehow it hurts in the soul to do that but i agree, they have something going for them with the whole setup and site… Now its just a matter of figuring out how to use it

Re: why don’t low cost sites do this?

That’s exactly why I prefer selling them. No one else wants to. Those $8.95 commissions can really add up. And with everyone focusing on the PPS side of things, those cheap sites tend to be underexposed.

Well, it ain’t that cheap here in the UK. Although they state it’s just $19.95, when you go to pay it’s $24+ here thanks to geo-ip pricing

I really wish people would geo-ip there tours if they are going to use geo-ip pricing - I wouldn’t join a site that offered me a different price to what I was expecting to pay once I had to enter my card details!
