Ways to cash in on parked domains

I have a few parked domains that I’m not ready to do anything with, but don’t really want them to be just sat making money for the registrar with all their ads and shit.

They are porn ones, what’s the best way to cash in on them with little or no maintenance?

Re: Ways to cash in on parked domains

You could list them at SEDO and allow them to run ads which can earn you a per click amount. I had some listed a while back and was making a something like $150 a month from domains I had no use for at the time.

You could also point them to a page you host. Place a few relevant ads and you might make some sales.

The above is assuming you have at least some type in, search engine or other traffic sources leading to these domains.

I’m sure you’ll get lots of other ideas too.

Setup a WP blog. Write two posts. Let them be. Takes 15 minutes and pretty soon traffic comes in. Not sure where it finds the blog, but it does.

I agree with what Lloyd says, but you should also add some RSS Feeds to the domain. Just last week I did just that with www.wankboys.com and I’ve already received a sale from it. Took me about 2 hours to set up and I’ve already more then paid the registration fee for the next 2 years.

Great. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Re: Ways to cash in on parked domains

IMHO the best thing you can do is get a copy of Blogs Organizer. All you need to do is cut/paste the URLs for all your RSS feeds, then whenever you get a new unused domain, add it to the system. Your new blog URL will automatically get listed on your other blog site blogrolls, so google finds it and eats it up.

Re: Ways to cash in on parked domains

I would be careful about that one. Google actually finds sites w/o being on another blog roll. I hate giving out PR juice unless I have to.

I have blogs that have top 10 keyword searches with only the “pings” as inbound links. Google likes those as well.
