A PE teacher was suspended yesterday after pupils reportedly discovered pictures of him posing naked on EnglishLads.com.
Sam Handley, 25, is a teacher at the boys-only Harvey Grammar School, in Folkestone.
According to the Sun, he was unaware that the link to the porn website had spread around the school via Facebook and mobile phones and turned up for lessons as usual, before being sent home by the deputy headteacher.
The images showed Handley fully naked with an erection, while a profile described him as “straight . . . but not shy about showing off his body”.
When questioned about the images, Handley told the newspaper they were not pornographic.
A school spokeswoman said: “The principal yesterday suspended a member of staff following certain allegations and an investigation is under way. It would not be appropriate to make any further comment at this time.”
Well that sucks in a big way. Personally, I don’t think him doing a nude shoot should reflect at all on his position as a teacher. Maybe the school should give him a raise if anything, as obviously he has to turn to porn to supplement his income!
The scary part about this is that it would happen here in Canada and most like the US as well. This is the 21st century. I wish people would snap out the stone ages.
Well either way it does seem a bit niave and foolish for a teacher to go and do a shoot for English Lads, and it really can’t help his authority with the students where nude photos of him are circulating around - and I don’t suppose parents are going to be overly amused - I can’t say I’m surprised by their actions or have a great deal degree of sympathy really.
I see Englishlads has sensibly removed him from the model list in the public area.
The school should be more concerned that the pupils are looking at porn sites and circulating 18+ pics.
Yes, some good points. He should have thought about the backlash before doing something like this. I suppose signing some form of document wouldn’t have stopped the images from being circulated outside of English Lads. Be it from concerned parents or affiliates for that matter.
I guess my point is that if he was a teacher of one of my kids, as long as he wasn’t some kind of creep, it wouldn’t really matter to me. I’m sure there have been a number of female teachers who have done porn. Are reactions any different with them? I have no idea because I don’t follow the news in that regard.
