Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

Yes Bjorn, we’ve taking this to private message  Hope things get sorted out. Mike from GMP said he did email you Friday to your support email, I forgot to ask him if he means on here or on gaydemon.com but emailed him with the email address you gave me.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

Mike did not bother to contact me, instead someone contacted me yeasterday from customer support. I asked her this:

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me. Could you please clarify something for me. I’ve had complaints from people I sold GMPass to that it’s not possible to cancel their membership, when they have called the 24hour phone line no one is answering. Do you not offer 24hours cancellation?

Also, the issue I have is with existing members, how are they affected by you encouraging your webmasters to switch their sites from old GMPass to the new signature. These members signup for a network of sites which in many cases no longer exist. What are you offering them instead?

Bjorn

Its unfortunate that GMP can’t be bothered to answer in public here. It would have looked better for them. But I guess they are too busy with switching sites trying to save their network.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

I’ve decided to pull all GMP listings off GayDemon. I don’t do this lightly as I hate to mess with any webmasters that might have been submitting sites to GayDemon for a long time.

But there are just too many problems and “odd” things going on with them

  1. Many surfers have complained that they are unable to cancel.
  2. Surfers complained that even after they cancelled bills still goes on.
  3. Commission on GMP sales have gone down by 80% on GayDemon
  4. They do not have 24hour support as they state on their support page and people are unable to get hold of them.
  5. They have hidden cross sales which are not possible to actually read OR deselect on their signup pages (see image below).

I will send out a email to all affected webmasters with GMP sites on GayDemon. And sorry again for any inconvenience but I simply can’t continue to have anything to do with GMP.

Also, I thought it was against credit card regs to display the VISA or MasterCard logos???

Michael[/QUOTE]

Don’t think that is the case, they are prominently displayed on all processor’s pages.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

I emailed all the active GMP webmasters on GayDemon, every one so far who responded has actually been really nice, say that they can’t blame me for dropping GMP and totally understands why. That just shows how much this company has pissed off its webmasters with some really bad choices. So it seems I’m not the only one who will be looking elsewhere for the future of AEN / AVS.

I’m not sure exactly what the adult regulations are, but I do know most processors of mainstream ecommerce sites changed their regulations and now insist you display the visa, mastercard and amex (if applicable) logo on your site.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

what i find telling is that for the length of this thread… no one from GMP has come on to explain whats happening.

are they naive, stupid, or just uninformed? … simply don’t care?

Yes, I find that interesting as well. To me it looks as though they don’t care.

If they are doing the wrong thing then they are in a no win situation, so it would be a waste of their time to respond.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

just FYI, I am bowing my head, will no longer actively use GMP or any of their programs, I still have lots of sites using their scripts, for now, but have been basically duped by them, and when I called them out, yes I do always retain al previous email threads, just got ignored, even at the top level, so be careful with them and whatever you do, do not switch your regular GMP sites over to Signature, they’ll changes their earlier promises so fast, you’r head will spin. Not to mention all the stats problems with them that have gone unresolved for over a year, and just simply get ignored as well.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

Dirkpeddler,

Why don’t you switch those sites over to Mancheck? They’re still doing really well for me. Any site with 50 pics you can register with Mancheck and just swap out the code. And you’ll be making more than $4.95 on a sale.

I swapped out a whole hub a couple of months back.

Michael

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

Yeah I’m thinking about that, both my partner and me have thousands of sites that would be affected and with the upcoming holidays, not really looking for that headache, right now.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

I have now open my AEN/AVS system StudPort to other webmasters, and you can get listed on Gaydemon

I have a good success with the new structure price of 4.95 lifetime membership to picture sites, and rebills to 29.95 for the videos and DVDs, the webmaster get 50% for all initials and recurrings,
more info here http://www.wncash.com/studport.htm

the lifetime membership is good to have members login again and again in the picture sites, where you can sell access to the studport videos or to other of your sponsors.

I would consider switching part of our sites over but $ 4.95( $ 2.50 for the webmaster?) LIFETIME membership is even lower then GMPs and 50% recurring is not really appealing either. Also I notice Studport is not accepted at Hunkhunter’s Haunts or manpics2000 which together with gaydemon are big traffic sources.

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

the 4.95 is for a limited time offer, only for december, the normal price is 29.95 for a lifetime membership + 30 days video access or 69.95 for lifetime membership + 90 days video access. The members get access to over 230 DVDs to stream or download, HD videos, Bonus content to hardgayfeeds, pluginfeeds, AEBN monthly DVDs, porn2go and more. We have very good rebills

Re: Removing GMP sites from Gaydemon

Oh ok, that sounds better, is there a reason those price points are nowhere mentioned on the site itself? Would be nice to inform (new) webmasters about this. I searched for it but couldn’t find it. Also any idea why Hunkhunter’s Haunts and Manpics2000 are not accepting Studport AEN for listing?
