PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

The other day, a nice member here mentioned her success with PornoTube in the past tense.

How are webmasters having success with it?

I’m a studio, with 150 titles already on PT’s mothership AEBN, so does it still do, or was it a passing fancy?

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

as a Wm uploading content when they allowed it i was pulling 2k a week out of there  not sure how they do now. traffic went bad and no WM uploads since the got greedy killed a lot of the traffic.

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

Traffic went down? I wonder why?

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

I am sure it went down when they quit allowing webmaster submissions. After all if a webmaster isn’t being allowed to submit to you, they aren’t going to send traffic.

That being said, income for them probably went up, as everything on their is theirs and they make money how they see fit and aren’t sending traffic out to webmasters. Hope that makes sense.

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

when u kill the web2.0 of web2.0 and dont allow uploads traffic goes down fast. They fucked up big time they were the #1 tube.

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

I kinda understand why they did. I mean they are a HUGE company with a lot more to lose than most tube sites.

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

Yes that makes sense now. I think I understand. Interesting.

But did they not use Affiliate links on uploaded videos by webmasters? Like any directory would do? For example, if you upload a video that belongs to your site, do they not use affiliate links to earn commission on sales to your site?

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

Previously they were allowing webmasters to upload videos and insert the uploaders affiliate code, so that when a sale was made, the person that uploading it got credit. They ended it which is why I say that traffic is down, yet revenues are probably up.

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

Hey guys, I just wanted to step in for a quick second -

PornoTube has -not- stopped letting webmasters upload content. In fact, they have always had options for upload partnerships for AEBN affiliates and partners. The only provisos they have for uploading anything, is that it be -your- content, 2257 compliant, and that you’re a business partner of AEBNs.

This is a web 2.0 application, which is geared toward the user. It was designed as a traffic generator, and a place to land your brand, and it’s definitely done that for a number of partners already. But this is also one of the sales tools that AEBN can provide for the studios to help get their name seen, and style branded via a number of means - trailers, clips, interviews with directors, viral star blogs (similar to François Sagat’s Brittney music videos), etc.

However, uploading content that is created by another company is against the TOS (as well as illegal), and they have places for you to supply a link or to just post your 2257 compliant information - failure to fill out that field will cause the upload to fail.

They -even- let you have a description box, where you can tell a viewer where to find your content other than the theatre. It -does- help if you contact your AEBN rep or PornoTube at the [email protected] email address - it will help get you recognized as an approved user, which will open up your status to a larger amount of space for uploads. Once that’s been established, they can shoot over nifty hints and tips, as well, and really make the most of your experience.

Both Nina and I are available to assist you for affiliate / studio (respectively) help if you’re not already a partner of AEBN’s, or if you are, we can help direct you to your current rep.

Kindest regards!

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

We at http://www.jizzflixxx.com have always allowed uploads as long as you are a member. We only offer one type of membership and that is FREE. As long as you follow our terms, you should be fine.

So we still can’t upload a video from a sponsor even with 2257 and approval?? Just wanted to clarify. I really miss your traffic! And I am an aebn affiliate as well

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

Baby -

That’s correct. There are, however, several other ways to generate traffic for AEBN affiliates. Your rep should be able to tell you about Xpeeps.com (which is kind of like an adult myspace), SocialKink.com (which is the same thing for the fetish community). You’re more than welcome to use those.

Pop me over a private message, and I’ll help you get in touch with your rep if you need assistance!

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

Yeah…I’m Kinda confused about pornotube also…I can upload clips there from my vids?

I have a studio account with AEBN…

I’ve been uploading clips to xtube for a year now…Made a few fans there who bought a few vids… We can use Pornotube the same way? I havent ever been able to upload there before…

Re: PornoTube Yeah or Nay?

Hey Joe!

That’s quite correct also. If you’d like to send me message, or an email @ [email protected], I’d be more than happy to help you get set up. All I need is the user name (not the password) that you’ve been using on Ptube, and I can get you lined up for the studio-user account that I mentioned earlier.
