Piracy Stops Here / Porn Guardian Has Ceased Operations / Recommendations?

In late January we learned of the unfortunate passing of Peter Phinney, the owner/operator of Piracy Stops Here, dba Porn Guardian.

In February, Peter’s “Chief of Staff” issued a notice that they were immediately ceasing operations.

Can anyone recommend a reputable company offering the same service(s)? What are other site owners & studios using for pirated content removal & DMCA notices?

We use DMCAProtect.com - Heard good things about https://takedownpiracy.com as well.

Thanks, Brent. We’ll check them out.

That is sad to hear about Peter, he had the first service for fighting piracy (at least I think he was first). He didn’t have a partner or employee that could step and run it?

We use DMCAForce.com, they’ve been great for us.

2nd here for DMCAForce, very good results in the 2 years we’ve been using them

Thanks Danny!

Hey - I am sorry that we haven’t made any official announcements. The short story is that I sold my share of the company to Peter once JustFor.Fans took over my life and all my, over 2 years ago. After Peter sadly passed, the company has been in probate, meaning that no one has been in charge. That includes no one having access to the bank account, staff not getting paid, etc… I am not technically part of the company, so my hands have been tied. The best I could do was shut of billing so customers weren’t being billed while the staff was unable to work. Anything else would have been in overstep into a company I am no longer technically a part of.

Peter and I are grateful for all of the amazing people who worked with us over the years. I know he wouldn’t want the company to disintegrate, but with no one at the helm, that’s kind of what has been happening. I still own all the technology, and am using it internally for JustFor.Fans. But until the fate of PG is known, that’s it for now.

Peter loved this community and was passionate about solving piracy and helping us all through the issues we face dealing with stolen content. He and I shared that passion, and it is was brought us together to form PG. If there are any updates in the future, I will post them here. But until then, I wish everyone luck finding other providers who can do justice to the gay side of the market. That was a niche that we had, and I think there is sadly a void now in that market.

All my best to all of you,
Dominic

I am also very sad to hear about Peter. He was always wonderful to work with.

This is the first I’ve heard of Peter’s passing. So sad.

Another nice person leaves us.

Bad year for that.
