What different sized banners should a pay site offer its affiliate webmasters ? and what format types eg static jpeg ? animated gif ? or ?
And when it comes to video clips are flv’s acceptable and what screen size ?

The most common sizes for banners are:
button: 120x60
half standard banner: 234x60
standard banner: 468x60
leaderboard: 728x90
Skyscrapers:
120x600
120x800
160x600
160x800
Square:
125x125
250x250
300x300
I have recently read an article about banners and according to a study both the leaderboard and square buttons perform above average and the standard banner has the worst click-through ratio.
I use whatever fits in the space that is left - most of the times common sized banners won’t fit, so I resize them or make my own banners. I prefer static banners.
Regarding video clips: FLV, MP4 and WMV are easy to use. I will use any of these formats.

Personally I like 468x80, not 468x60.
