Is anyone else having issues with Paxum and TruCash ?
Unable to transfer money from Paxum wallet to card over here in Europe, and I wondered if it was worldwide? Paxum say it’s TruCash problem, TruCash say speak to Paxum. It’s not th e kind of thing that would make news here in Greece, and I wondered if anyone in USA or Canada had heard anything about this?
Unfortunately, the people I still work with only deal in Paxum and we’re kind of stuck without it. Can still transfer to banks, but that takes ages. Long time no hear , I know. Semi-retired now

Yes, its no longer possible to transfer money to the card. They again lost some of their banking functions and there isnt any update on what will happen. Instead they have launched yet another new card which can be used instead to withdraw cash, however it might not work in all ATMs.
I suggest you use their EFT transfer in Euros to your local bank account. That works fine and takes 2-4 days its also very reliable.

A bit more information as I’ve talked about some of this with Ruth. There’s no word on what’s happening with the Trucash Mastercards. Paxum doesn’t know when we’ll be able to transfer money to them again. Ruth has just said that their legal department is still working on it.
Ruth did say that the Mastercards could still be used to purchase goods and services. I used mine to pay a hosting bill, but the money is still showing in my Mastercard, so who knows. So far it seems to have been approved and my hosting company hasn’t gotten back to me says the payment bounced.
The new card Bjorn is talking about is not a new Mastercard, it’s for Union Pay, which is a Chinese company. You should have received an email announcing this. If not, I could forward it to you. The long and short of it is that it’ll cost you $45 to order one, but you should check to see in banks in your area accept Union Pay. Sounds like it’ll work very much like the Mastercards we used to use.
Finally, Paxum did lose a processor who handled EFT. I don’t know how extensive the affects are, but Canada and Australia both lost EFT capabilities. It seems like Euros are still okay.
I initiated a wire last week to my bank account. It took Paxum two days to even initiate it, which made the process even longer, and there was a weekend in there as well. Altogether it took six days to arrive.
