no prices on a paysite

Just been looking at some sites from a new “gay” program (not a gay run company that’s for sure).

Anyway, I’ve looked and looked on their sites and I can’t find any prices for how much the “free trials” are, or even if they rebill and for how much.

There are no terms and conditions, no prices, nothing.

Even when you go on to the signup form there are no prices or links to terms.

To me that seems very odd and is it even legal, or does that depend on who you use as a processor?

Re: no prices on a paysite

Sounds like a chargeback waiting to happen. I though Visa demanded a clear statement of how much it will rebill at ?

Re: no prices on a paysite

i know it’s a visa u.s. requirement for third party billers, but not sure if it’s a visa eu requirement or if it applies to companies who bill for themselves.

there is a very big str8/gay mixed program that doesn’t show prices on their sites - just a free trial. they’ve done it that way for years. when i reviewed their sites, i looked everywhere for a monthly price but never found one.

Re: no prices on a paysite

maybe they are not finished?

Re: no prices on a paysite

Often a “heads up” email about a problem is most graciously received. Sometimes you’re so close to a design/site that you just overlook the obvious stuff that needs clarification.

Re: no prices on a paysite

You are probably talking about Gammae websites, and now they do offer a trial at 2.95 and price was and alway was 29.99, a solid company to be sure, make most of my money off of them

Re: no prices on a paysite

PS i bought up the no price till sale3 deal with them, i knew it was not good

Re: no prices on a paysite

No, it wasnt Gamma. They are pretty good from my experiance. No this is a new small program which Ive never seen before and because of that a bit careful with.

Re: no prices on a paysite

i wasn’t talking about gammae, either - i’ve found prices on their sites.

Re: no prices on a paysite

When a company offers a “free trial” it’s never a mistake that they don’t mention price.

Did you actually go through the first part of the multi page join form? Most likely if it’s a multi part join page, you will find the price when you hit the actual page where you enter the C/C.

Re: no prices on a paysite

when i do a review, i always fill out the join forms as far as i can go without actually joining. maybe i’m missing something - you’re free to check for it on one of their sites:

Re: no prices on a paysite

Dang! Maybe they did fuck and not list the terms. Strange that they list every biller but the one they are actually using for their billing.

Even being a EU company and having our own merchant account we are suppose to have the price on the join page and/or TOS.

Lots of sites wait until the last page before they do it. I am not sure I would ever join this site as a surfer.

If that is the site Bjorn is talking about then here is where you can find what affiliates make:

http://lovelybucks.com/

  • still nothing about their prices though.

Re: no prices on a paysite

Yes thats the one, I’m hesitating to promote any site that I cant actually find out how it costs / they charge. I have emailed them about it, simply asking for how much it costs and rebills as, but no reply as yet.

I just found it very odd, i know its sometimes hidden away a bit, but you can normally figure it out at least from the terms.

Re: no prices on a paysite

Yes - these sites give you a nasty flashback to how porn on the web was in the late 90s - the scary rebills on your credit card you couldn’t get rid of (only by canceling your credit card and apply for a new one) AND the 60 pop ups you would get after exiting such sites …
