marketing - ethnicity seems to overpower niche

years ago, i noticed that if i listed a gallery or avs site with pics of a hung black dude under the big dick cateory, i got less sales than a site or gallery with pics of a hung white dude. if there were two black dudes fucking and i listed it under hardcore, it got less sales than if i listed a gallery with 2 white dudes fucking under hardcore. same is true with uncut - caucasian men make more sales for me than latin, black or asian guys, even if the asian dudes are hot and have big obviously uncut cocks.

i got similar results with str8. list a gallery or avs site of an asian chick wearing panties under panties and you won’t get the sales you would have with a white chick. even if the asian model was mind numbingly cute, if the traffic was sent to a non-asian site of any niche, the asian model made less sales than an okay white chick.

i’ve had better luck with latin guys and gals if they didn’t look too ethnic, but if i mentioned they were latin and were sending the traffic to any kind of site but a latin site, sales were again lower than had i used a white model.

also if i promoted any kind of site other than an ethnic site with a tour with more black or asian models then white models on page one, sales tanked. if i was in control of the tour or working with a cooperative sponsor, if we took the black or asian models off page one, sales increased.

it appears to me that surfers see race before niche, and i’ve tested this every couple years to see changes - but so far, my results are always the same. anyone else have any experience or results from marketing niches with different ethnicities of models?

Re: marketing - ethnicity seems to overpower niche

I’ve noticed more interest when I post an Asian guy on my site. I figured that maybe it is because they stand out in a site full of white Aussie boys.
The same occurs when I post an older guy… but then I mostly shoot young guys. I don’t think I will ever know what attracts the majority of my viewers. in the meantime we all like a bit of variety

Re: marketing - ethnicity seems to overpower niche

I think people take it for granted that broad/general terms refer to Caucasian guys.

For example, when they search for broad term like ‘gay porn’, most of them, I believe, expect to see white guys. Thats why you see people typing ‘black gay porn’ or ‘gay asian porn’ but they dont type ‘white gay porn’.

This is the same when we talk about straight market and gay market. When people use broad term like ‘Asian porn’, most of them mean ‘straight Asian porn’ without having to type ‘straight’…while if they want gay, they have to type ‘gay Asian porn’…broad terms in this case refer to Straight.
