Re: Introduce Yourself - Resurrected!
Name/Nick: Tam - that is my name, no nick
Company or Self employed?: MediaRevenue
Your Primary URL: The Original Rude Bitch - my only site
Your Specialty/Niche: I do well in a lot of niches, but my best and most successful has always been amateurs or sologirls. I’ve worked with just about every niche and have experience in many of them, although not the more obscure ones like midgets and things like that. But I started out as my own content and I am very amateur, it’s what i know and what I do best.
How long have you been an adult webmaster?
I started out in July of 1999 as a birthday present for my husband, he wanted to see me on his favorite site, Wife Lover’s, not even sure if it’s still around. But shortly after this, I seen on a show on TV how much money people were making in the adult industry and I needed to work and help him pay the bills, but I had health issues and no one would hire me. SO, I thought “I know html, how hard can this be”, I soon realized I knew less than nothing about html, but muddled my way thru it, and didn’t have money for domains, content or anything, so I was my own content… and soon after, I started a posting board of my own and it somehow turned into women being the aggressors and men being the content, not even sure how that happened but it worked. lol A sponsor of mine at the time sent me a check that should have been for $54 and he sent me $854, I called him and let him know his mistake and he hired me on the spot… and let me keep that check. So I was hooked. lol
What do you think of the adult industry ?
I think it is what you make of it, like anything else. It can be very bad for you or very good for you, but it’s what you make of it for your own needs and means to an end. If you live your life in a positive manner and try and always do right by the people you work with and surround yourself with then you are going to do good in anything. This also goes for my experience in this industry, I try and just keep a positive thought and know that it can always be worse. I have noticed an influx of fraud and this worries me a little, as it does with anything else, but things happen and you learn to roll with the punches, change as times change and move forward as the industry moves forward. If you can’t change with the change, you are sunk from the start.
