The thumbs for movies should be really small to fit the mobile format. So it’d be really cool if you can use bigger thumbs shrunk by using width and height html parameters. It gives bigger images to thumbs rotators and we can crop better thumbs since the source is wide.

Again, I ask “how do you protect your member areas from multiple IP addresses / users” when each time they login it’s with a different mobile IP address? Or do you just ignore the risk? It’s a VERY important question as it will affect rebills when members get locked out of a mobile site - but no-one seems willing to answer the question!
You can setup strongbox to be pretty loose with IP restrictions and have a good customized error message if they do get locked out, something that tells them in a very friendly way what happened and how to contact you to correct it.
You can set the rules anyway you please with Strongbox, Proxypass or PhantomFrog… so are you now loosening rules for your mobile members area? In fact, can I ask if your mobile member’s area is different? And if so, what happens when someone who joined via their phone then trys to log in on their PC?
Yes the mobile sites are independent sites all on their own, members that join a mobile site get access to both the mobile and home versions of the same. As I mentioned before, the mobile versions are specifically optimized to work best with mobiles, so they are thin and long, have touch screen style navigation, display only videos that work on mobile and have quite a few other customizations. If a member logs in at home, I would assume they would prefer the .com version of the site as it also features wmv and flash versions of videos plus access to all the plugin feeds and bonus sites (those are not provided on the .mobi as they don’t work) plus access to our 2000+ video library, however, if they do login to the .mobi and get locked out, we get notice and I will assist them as soon as I can. We check lock-out notices as soon as we get them and are rarely more than 8 hours from unlocking it (that being when we sleep).
