Those who know me will know how much of a crazy pirate fighter I am and how much I hang out in pirate and hacker forums to learn the best ways around the pirates tricks to make it hard to remove files… Well over the past few days the pirates are furious!!!
Openload Group (also own sites such as stream cherry/mango, verystream, wooftube, rapidvideo amongst others) has been closed down following a HUGE court case, and handed its domains and servers over to the american film industry piracy fighting organisation ACE.
These sites would pay pirates between $0.001 and $0.003 per video view (depending on viewer country) as it would blast the viewer with popups from PopAds (who would also be the company paying the people pirating files) - There was mainstream films and porn hosted on these servers, and LOTS of it!
Well I have done some checks and spent many hours in the blackhat forums today, one gay pirate lost over 100TB of files that were making him over $6900 a month (little hard to feel sad for him hahahaha)… What this will mean for sales as the future comes is anyone’s guess there are other operators in this field but they are very much smaller, and many no longer paying pirates so unlikely to be the new go to place. But in all its a success where there has been very little movement for a few years!
Just a little update on this a message on MyVidster (where most of these videos would have been shared to)
It has been confirmed that two large videos hosting sites have been taken down and will not be not coming back. We are currently removing these bookmarks and are monitoring our databases, so they don’t crashed again. If you are curious, here is the live removal count by domain. openload.co : 10,332,862 verystream.com : 948,779 openload.io : 184,297.
There is a gerneral estimate on MyVidster that 30% of all content is gay so that’s around 3.3 million copies of full gay videos removed from the web for good
Will more sprout up… surely, but currently there does not seem to be anyone paying to host so for now its a total plus point.
