How long to wait

I added about 9 new link lists to the group that I normally submit free sites to and have been dissapointed by 4 that have not listed or e-mailed back after 7 days.

How long do you usually wait before removing recp links back from link lists that don’t list or e-mail a rejection?

Is it best just to stick with the reliable and well known lists to avoid problems like this?

Re: How long to wait

No, I think it’s always good to try new ones. I think 2-3 weeks is more than enough. If you don’t want to talk about them on the board, you can PM me the names and I can speak more about any experience I’ve had.

Re: How long to wait

I’ve had terrible luck trying to find new lists that actually approve my links within a reasonable amount of time. Which for me, yes, is about 2, maybe 3 weeks. That’s really pushing it though.

I don’t care how many submissions you get, approving links within a week is not hard to do. Some of these lists have more than one person or even someone responsible for actually doing that very job. I’m all by myself and have never let a link go longer than 5-7 days. This is usually because I want to check the link out and there may be circumstances which hold me back from approving it.

I had 68 submissions this week and just finished approving them tonight. Ok, so 68 isn’t a lot, but throughout the week it takes a bit of my time. Especially since I create all of the thumbnails manually.

Anyway…I try to stick with those who I know will approve me and send me decent traffic. But that’s just me. Too many lists out there are a total mess, take forever to approve or most times, don’t even bother to approve for some stupid, inane, fucked up reason. I could go on, but I won’t. lol

Re: How long to wait

i’d say a month, but i’ve waited longer.

i’d day how long it takes is depending on how many submissions a link site gets, whether the owner is working alone or with help, and whether the owner is working alone and has a day job, it can take more than a couple weeks to get a site approved.

btw, you could always email them and ask what’s up.

Re: How long to wait

Thanks guys.
I did send e-mails out yesterday.
I’ll wait 30 days before I take their links off.

Re: How long to wait

We approve links 2-3 times per week on BestMaleblogs, GayDemon and GayPornEngine (Mon to Fri).

But I’ve had to wait for 4+ weeks to get listed on for example Penisbot.

Re: How long to wait

might as well wait the dumb month or 6 weeks if it means you might get listed, especially a better list.

Penis bot usually takes about 2-3 for me as well but the traffic over time is well worth it. I was suprised that this site was approved in less than 8 days. A record for them.

Gay Demon
Gay Mood
Gay Man List
Gay Porn Links
Male Directory
Hunk Hunter
Male Blue
Manpics2000
Arucci
My gay linklist
Latin men links
Gay sex bot
The daily gay

are my usuals and almost always list within 7 days

Re: How long to wait

After countless, countless times of trying to get listed at Penisbot, I really won’t waste my time trying anymore. I’ve followed all their rules to a tee and still, I get denied. This after waiting sometimes up to 6 weeks. I’m sorry, but for me to lose that much traffic for that long a period of time (sometimes it’s as much 1k+ hits over the 6 week period), only to be turned down, I just cannot trust them. I keep hearing about the great traffic, but tactics like this make me absolutely fucking irrate. I can make 2-3 sales with 1000 hits.

It’s part of why I started my own list. Ok, so My Gay Link List may never be a Penisbot, but people tell me they like the traffic. I can’t see them submitting consistently if they didn’t. LOL.

As busy as Bjorn is, he still manages to approve within at least 48 hours and his traffic is great. This says everything to me. Thanks Bjorn.

Thanks for the mention Paul. Much appreciated.
