How long do you wait before removing links?

So I did a major push at submitting my new site to lots of link lists and directories. It’s now been a good 3 or 4 weeks and only a handfull of those sites have listed mine.

How long do I wait until I remove the reciprocal links?

Are there still a chance that they will list my sites after that long time?

Is it worth contacting them at all?

I just got an approval e-mail for a free site that was submitted over 45 days ago. Some lists approve same/next day, others take a while. Seems like they should be able to have you up in 60 days at least.

Whith all the links you must have have do you possibly keep track?

I would say after 45 days.

BTW: remember that some directories do list sites, but never send out confirmation emails.

Thanks, I’ll wait for a couple of more weeks then. I don’t rely on emails but check stats instead. Anyone who sent 0 visitors I presume have not listed the site.

Yes…

I’m actually surprised how few link lists that still seems to be active and send traffic. Big surprise. Seems like most are up but just are not managed anymore.
