i’ve talked with a lot of people about this. some people prefer the shortest possible domains, some (like me) prefer descriptive domains that include the niche or higly relevant keywords and some people have a bunch of domains that they bought without any real idea of what to do with them, and they try and use one of them if possible.
i mess around with a couple keywords and the niche and see what i can come up with. usually i can find a domain i’m very happy with. i try to go with 3 words.
honestly i go for anything that i think can be either branded well with the surfer due to it being easy to remember, has “shock value” or a domain that i feel will place good on SE’s for the keywords that are relevant to the niche / theme…
3 works in a domain can be good - dont know if i would do 4 words but there are tons of them in straight porn being used and branded - so perhaps its worth a shot next time i need a good domain name.
I prefer to get something that makes sense, one, two, three words, that are easy to remember, but now, well I just go snooping through Bec’s Domain Name threadfor inspiration.
