Google New Security Update for non-secure content

Hello All. Be aware that the latest update for the Google Chrome web browser will address mixed content, which degrades the security and user experience of HTTPS websites. The Google Chrome web browser will begin blocking mixed content, starting in December 2019.

The gradual roll-out of the latest security update will start with the first phase Chrome 79, which Google plans to release in December 2019.

Thanks for the info, I did notice their announcement this week.

Hopefully not a problem for most, since a site wouldn’t show the lock / secure unless all the content is served in the same way.

I guess the difference now is that Google Chrome will block the pages that are not fully secure rather than show them.
