CMS Systems

Hey Hey

Im looking for an easy to use CMS system to incorporate into the agency site. I need something that will let users search by age, height, location etc etc.

Any ideas?

Re: CMS Systems

No CMS is easy.

Re: CMS Systems

amen!

you could probably do this with wordpress, linkx or joomla, but it will have quite the learning curve plus the time inputting all the stuff.

Re: CMS Systems

Mansion Productions CMS would do that

Re: CMS Systems

hello

Have you considered having a search engine spider it and using that?

There are some that you can allow to search a protected area. They will build a site map, you can add tags to each page. eg http://www.freefind.com/

the free version has some ads.

If you are paying for no ads, it would be better to pay to have something customised and installed, its an hours work for someone who knows what they are doing. Try an ad on getafreelancer.com

Re: CMS Systems

If you’re doing an agency site, I’d think your best bet is a custom CMS. You can kludge something else to work, but it will be just that… a kludge.

The folks at AMVC ran a porn model site (pornhire.com) and they rigged up an employment agency script which sorta worked, but my opinion is that it’s pretty kludgy. I haven’t seen any standard application that does the job well.

As Patti suggested, you could make Joomla or something else work, but honestly, if you want it to really do the job right, I’d spend the $ and design something that will do exactly what you want.

Re: CMS Systems

kludge and kludgy … these for real?

checking my jargon dictionary…

Re: CMS Systems

Thanks for the advice guys, I just need something basic and not overly fancy.

Ive had a look at a few and Wordpress seems to be the one most people are recommending. I did look at Joomla and my lil brain fried lol
