Well, another nifty little plug in I found for helping secure your wordpress blog.
This is from the folks who are now handling any upgrades to the popular Wordpress Plugin All In One SEO.
The new plug in is called WP Security Scan which can BE FOUND HERE
I have uploaded it in one of my new blogs, that has basically nothing in it yet. I didn’t want to risk losing any data, but I did a backup anyhow.
What THIS PLUG IN does is scans your blog, database, and gives you recommendations on how to further secure it, or if vulnerable, what to change.
Things like what to CHMOD directories, files, or whether to have an htaccess file in your admin area, heck, even how to hide your version to make it even tougher for the hackers.
So far, so good. I rather like, and I have to say, the instructions are even clear enough for a blond like me. whistle
