Carnal Media Signs International Star Bastian Karim to Exclusive Roster
(Minneapolis, MN / December 1, 2023) – Carnal Media proudly announces the signing of international adult film superstar Bastian Karim as its newest Carnal Exclusive.
The Colombian-born performer will debut on CarnalPlus for BoysForSale. In 2024, Karim will headline a brand new website addition to CarnalPlus. Karim is currently one of Europe’s most sought-after talents: Karim is XBIZ Europa’s reigning Gay Performer of the Year and a GRABBYS EU award winner for ‘Best Twink’ (2022), ‘Best Jock’ and ‘Best Couple’ (2023) in honor of his blockbuster smash Men at Play with co-star Sir Peter.
“Becoming an actor was my first goal when I was 17; I dreamed about it,” he explains. “I wanted creative and financial freedom, and I’m so happy with my decision, as I love my job and can’t imagine doing anything else.”
He moved to Spain, where he has lived for the past four years, and found “it was a natural fit because they speak Spanish too. I had to start a new life in a new country and be away from my family to follow my dreams, but now Spain is my home.”
In 2017, Karim launched his career shooting for BoyFun in Prague, where he lived for two years after unsuccessful first attempts in Spain. “I was in a bar in Prague drinking beer and someone asked me about doing porn. I thought it was a joke because everyone in Spain had said no, no, no… I wasn’t the typical Colombian guy with big muscles and tattoos and was constantly told I was not what they were looking for.”
From there, Karim began working more and more frequently with other European studios. At first people were ignoring me, and now they’re messaging me for help getting into the business,” he says.
In addition to performing, Karim is interested in the technical side of the business as well. “I’m always curious about learning new things… I studied Graphic Design and Cinematography (Director of Photography training), which I love and apply to everything I’m doing in porn. I love design, cameras, lights, all of it… everything behind the scenes of production.”
While he enjoys his fast-paced profession, Karim maintains a down-to-earth lifestyle that includes indulging in films, TV, music, dancing and reading - as well as swimming, a less painful alternative to his Judo training: “I had to take a break from Judo so I don’t show up on set with bruises on my face and body.”
As he marks a new chapter with Carnal Media, Karim says he stays true to himself by focusing on personal passions and his family. “Working in film has changed our lives in a good way. I’m so lucky that my mom and sister support me and are proud of me.”
