Blog with stolen content...

Sometimes what gets lost in the whole piracy issue is that it’s not just sponsors that get their content stolen but affiliates as well… Those of us who write posts for blogs are “content producers” as well…

MONTHS ago (January '08) I contacted the owner of manfill.com and cocknload.com (INSTANTmale) and asked him to stop using posts he had stolen from my RSS feed. He flippantly told me…

Most webmasters are thrilled to have me use there feed because i provide thousands of visitors a month to their websites.

I told him that was bullshit - he had sent me 10 visits and the way Google counts visits that could be 10 visits from the same person.

Anyway, long story short he stopped using my feed (I think), but refused to take down the posts he already had up. Here are some of the URLs that show my content on his sites…

http://cocknload.com/2007/12/im-now-over-the-hill/
http://cocknload.com/2008/01/im-loving-barebackrtcom/
http://cocknload.com/2007/08/a-top-with-a-boyfriend-wants-my-cum-in-his-ass-2/
http://cocknload.com/2007/10/revamped-a-lot-of-the-links-3/
There are at least 45 pages he still has up on that site with my content

http://fucknfill.com/2007/09/are-you-expecting-me-4/
http://fucknfill.com/2007/09/cant-cum-on-an-empty-stomach/
http://fucknfill.com/2007/12/goals-for-the-remainder-of-the-year/
http://fucknfill.com/2007/12/what-should-a-young-neg-bottom-do/
There are at least 25 pages on that site that still have my content.

http://manfill.com/2008/01/just-not-meant-to-be/
http://manfill.com/2008/01/should-i-go-to-iml/
http://manfill.com/2007/12/be-political-about-sex/
There are at least 8 pages on that site that still have my content.

So, I’m going to challenge you guys who produce content. If you guys are really serious about stolen content, let’s see you terminate his account. I think good affiliates that produce unique content will take your piracy issues a lot more seriously if you show your serious about their piracy issues…

Another of his sites is instantmale.com. When he responded to me he was writing from [email protected] and instantmale.com is on the same IP address as the other sites.

But I think his business name might be Ugly Kitty Media since some of his affiliate links have that in them and uglykittymedia.com is on the same IP address.

Here are some of his affiliate codes…

GBucks - 2547
Dirty Tony - 1570062
Str8Cams - 20196:9804000000884584
Channel 1 Releasing - 40051303
Sean Cody - 1228985
CuteTwink.com - 1570143
Lucas Kazan - 1616924
College Dudes 24/7 - 1616914
Amateur Male Beach Voyeur - 22988:9804000000884584
Gay Movie Club - 1570143

The way I look at it is any sponsor who will pay him money when his sites are made from stolen content can’t complain when their content gets stolen…

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Wow, I can’t believe someone would actually go that far with stealing your blog posts. This is freakin’ serious.

Maybe I should take a look around the net a little more to make sure I’m not being ripped off like this. Shit.

Hope you get some help with this RawTOP. Sincerely.

Did you actually send a DMCA notice to his host?

Re: Blog with stolen content…

I’m sure it was done with something like Blogs Automator… RSS feeds are a double edged sword in that respect.

I see it all the time actually. Another site that does it to me is raw-ride.com. They use my content on cloaked pages. If you change your user agent to ‘googlebot’ and go the the following URL you’ll see stolen content, but if you go as a regular user you’ll get redirected to their home page…

http://www.raw-ride.com/thorax.php?ga=o0NER1onPx

The content on that page changes and there are tons of pages like that on their site. Some of the content has been mine in the past.

If you want to see it in action and don’t feel like changing your user agent, check out the pages they have indexed by Google…

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Araw-ride.com&pws=0&hl=en

and compare the cached copies of the pages to what you see if you click on the link. I’ve reported the site to Google for cloaking, but they continue to index the site. The site should be banned when it’s clearly doing cloaking…

The same goes for barebacker.com… Check out the cached versions with what you get when you click on the links…

http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Abarebacker.com&pws=0&hl=en

A bunch of my content is clearly visible in those SERPs…

Both raw-ride.com and barebacker.com are associated with tpgwebsite.com. They appear to be a paysite, but for all I know they’re completely fake and trying to steal people credit card numbers…

Those aren’t affiliate sites, so I don’t know what can be done about them, but they show how much textual content people steal…

I’ve caught some of these guys by setting up Google alerts for ‘rawTOP’ and then mentioning my name in my own posts.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

No, I haven’t… I suppose I should… Thing is, I don’t know that I want to identify my identity to someone who clearly uses what they know inappropriately. Perhaps after I incorporate I’ll do it…

Re: Blog with stolen content…

4-5 years ago, a bunch of the bareback tpgwebsite.com sites you mentioned were using a bunch of images from us on their tour pages. I sent them a notice and the next time I checked they were gone. I’ve never actually seen inside their members areas.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Does Patrick Fillion know this guy is using his cartoons as a banner on his cocknload.com blog banner?

Michael

Re: Blog with stolen content…

No, I find that highly unlikly. I’ve told Patrick about the site.

Rawtop, you know your text is under copyright?

You didnt see anything from gaydemon? I would be happy to take him on if there is.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

These fuckers always have a pathetic excuse for their theft. I really hope these sponsors support you and delete his account without payment. I know if I were a sponsor I would rather have a good honest affiliate than a thieving scumbag any day. Go get him tiger!

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Yes, I pointed as much out to him when we e-mailed back and forth. His excuse was that he was only using snippets, but as you can see, he’s using entire posts…

Snippets are legal under fair use, but they have to be genuine snippets. Topix has built an entire business model on the concept and does quite well with it. But they only put the first sentence, maybe two on their pages. Big difference

Well, there was… It looks like it’s been taken down… If you look at the snippets on this SERP you see “originally syndicated from GayDemon Porn Blog”, but when you go to the page you see the post has been removed.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

He doesn’t seem like to bad of a guy from what I found out about him

I think it’s wrong that he’s stealing the “str8cam” name and adding “blog” to the end of it to take the guys traffic. Has anyone notified Jeff that this guy is using part of his trademark in his domain name?

Re: Blog with stolen content…

I just want to give this thread a bit of a bump… The guy has actually redesigned one of his sites and features more affiliate ads now… In terms of programs I know are active on here - Blake Mason and Hunk Money ads both show up on his site (in a banner rotation on cocknload.com - so their ads aren’t always visible). I’m not sure which programs go with his other ads…

Jeff from Str8Cams has followed up with me. But I’d like others of you to take action as well. If you have this guy as an affiliate, please terminate his account. If the affiliate programs don’t care about piracy of textual content then I’m just going to yawn every time I hear one complain about piracy of their video content…

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Rawtop,

This works both ways. I have no issue terminating an affiliate account that has stolen content on their site. I will do it because it is the right thing to do.

However, I don’t feel you have any right to complain either. You are marketing sites from AlphaMaleCash that runs a tube site that steals our content and charges a membership fee for members to watch our full length videos. Shouldn’t it work both ways?

On another note, I believe that a formal C&D letter in this case would be appropriate. He stopped using your feed (you think), but does have some older posts still up. Did you send a C&D letter, or do you not want him to have your address? RSS feeds is a “strange” issue as many (mistakenly) think they are covered under fair use.

Best,
Lloyd

p.s. I will terminate his affiliate account as it is the right thing to do. Not for the reason that “I have no right to complain” as I feel you by marketing AMC really have no right to complain. By marketing AMC you give money to thieves just as the sponsors on that blog do. It’s all the same.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Lloyd,

As far as All Real Bareback (AlphaMaleCash)… Since the news came out about them I have reduced their prominence on my site and haven’t done any new blog posts. If there were stolen content on All Real Bareback itself I would pull things immediately. But my understanding is that AlphaMaleCash doesn’t own the tube site in question - one is a European company, the other is an American company, though the ownership is pretty much the same. While I feel a bit uncomfortable about it, to me it’s not the same as your ads appearing next to stolen content. That’s completely cut and dry…

If you need to see the e-mails between me and this guy with me telling him to take down the content, I’ll provide them…

But seriously, people should take a look at his sites… Pretty much every post is stolen from someone. Fine, don’t do it to protect my content - do it to protect everyone else’s. The law is clear on this. He knows he’s using full articles when only snippets are allowed… What he’s doing is the same as a ning site filled with stolen videos.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

You are knowingly sending your surfers to a tube site with stolen content. Just admit it and stop trying to justify it as being ok.

On your Amateur Gay Teen Video site , on the age verification popup, if the user clicks cancel to leave your site you knowingly forward them to a Google image search page for the search term gay teen video, exposing them to the type of porn they were trying to get away from by leaving your site.

BTW some of your “18 year old” embedded Xtube jackoff video links are no longer valid and have been removed from Xtube.

Also your outbound link script, on your most recent post, is forwarding people to a Godaddy page with your ref ID although the link says “View full video on Men With Cams”, though your rawtop ref ID link on that page to “Teen Boys Love” seems to be working correctly… go figure.

** NOTE: I put the link to the teen boys love site with your ref code in this post but it seems the URL is banned from this board, as is the name of the company, and it automatically filled in the site url with *****. I believe it was banned because it’s a known CP site, but I’m not sure. Perhaps a moderator can comment on that.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Sending traffic to anyone who supports or runs illegal tube site is also of questionable ethic. No excuse there.

Re: Blog with stolen content…

There are a total of 2 videos I’ve embedded from ning sites. Those two are homemade vids and not stolen content. That’s the extent of what I’ve used - it’s hardly typical of the site. The other stuff is embedded from sites that have good reputations - the tube sites which actively police their content and sponsor sites.

Trust me, I’ve thought about it. Posted a thread here to help me clarify my thinking and spoke to one of you guys in some depth about it. I don’t feel I’m crossing the line…

Not if they have SafeSearch on  (at least theoretically)… It’s a bit of a political statement that Google is actually a distributor of porn…

Not just 18 y.o. ones - that’s true of all the videos and it comes with doing a site like that - it’s just par for the course. You sorta have to keep moving forward and not look back… It’s the only site I do that way - other sites I want to have more enduring content.

Thanks for catching that typo… Don’t have things completely automated yet - and still make typos doing it manually…

That’s just unfair. I have no interest in crossing the line into illegal stuff… I’m migrating from a manual system to something more automated and as I add sites to my database I make note of their 2257 documentation and replicate it on my sites. I’ve got it up on rawtop.com and there will be one on the other sites soon…

http://www.rawtop.com/legal/

Show me another affiliate that’s trying to cross their t’s and dot their i’s that well…

BTW, I’ve never used my name publicly on here. Not sure where you got it, but it’s totally rude to use it when I don’t… [Moderators, if you’d please remove it from his post, I’d appreciate it.]

Re: Blog with stolen content…

Wow lots of excuses and covering your ass, even to the point of asking for your first name to be removed from a post.

How dare you call me rude! I’ve never heard such rubbish. rofl

Re: Blog with stolen content…

OK, Squirt’s comments need some serious attention by a moderator. Personally, I think stuff like that should get someone banned. Other than in private communication I’ve never tied my adult stuff to my name or my mainstream business. If comments like his are tolerated here, then I’m out of here…

Re: Blog with stolen content…

That’s not true.

You have a couple servers… one with all adult on the rawtop server. On your slicksurface server you have mainstream AND porn sites… some of the pornsites on your slicksurface server with your full name publicly available are:

Bigfeetbigmeat.com
Bighandsbigglands.com
Bighandsbigglans.com
Bignosebighose.com

So you don’t separate your mainstream and adult and you post your photo on your Gaydemon profile as well as on your mainstream sites… again… no separation of your identity.

I’m not sure why my post about your affiliate links to the “Teen Boys Love” site got you on the defensive but I do apologize. Their site is banned here for a reason. Again I apologize. I didn’t mean to offend you or upset you in any way.
