Batch file rename program

I know someone else on here was looking for a way of renaming lots of files easily and quickly (chaning file names). I needed the to do exactly that today and found a great little application:

I used ACDsee - but it may be too much for what you need.

my partner recommends file renamer basic http://www.sherrodcomputers.com/products_filerenamer.cfm

i gather it costs a whopping $10 and he does all our massive renaming with it.

i also use this program too and totally recommend it. it’s the only file-renamer i use. the best feature about it is that you can re-name video files too!
