Banner sizes

Hi Guys
In response to your kind suggestions we will be changing our affiliate program to ccBiIl.
We have space for 10 banners in ccBill admin, any advice what sizes would be preferred.

I personally prefer good quality 160x600 banners for the sidebars.

Thanks for that we do have most of the sizes done already x4 Just need to get our developer to build “Banner Farm” - or is it something we could do by ourselves(pretty good with adobe programs)

I would follow the banner size from the Interactive Advertisement Bureau (http://www.iab.net/iab_products_and_industry_services/1421/1443/1452) . Those are usually the sizes that are widely used on the Web. Some sizes would probably more appropriate for our industry and some sizes are more widely used than others:

-468x60px
-300x250px
-728x90px
-160x600px

From what I understand, a banner farm is simply the pages that have the banners on them, usually sorted by size, so affiliates can grab the one’s they want.

I’d also suggest having a zip file with all banners, for easy download by the affiliates. Makes life a lot simpler to grab them all in one get go.

As to sizes, many use a wide variety. Blogs for example, on the sidebar can be 120px wide, 125px, 150px, 160px, 200px, 250px, 300px, and 350px. If being used in headers, can be up to 1000px wide. Within the content or post, can be up to 700px or more.

Heights vary as well. So hence the name ‘banner farm’ Also why I suggest a zip download file. What may be used today, could change with the change of a theme.

We actually found affiliates asking for lots of different banner sizes and we added them to our promo tools but I agree the sizes the other guys posted are the mainly used. Following a list of the banners we provide. It may be a huge list but we prefer to provide more than less :slight_smile: And remember to add some not nude and animated banners too.
