Hmmm sounds like they are going to offer a payment system…including micro payments.

Re: Attending the .XXX webinar.

Frankly I am of the opinion that the more press this rip off gets, the more people will think they need it. I will never purchase a xxx tld from these crooks. Instead of trying to make a buck off this rip off, I will spend my time lobbying the Government to reject this TLD, as other countries ( like India I believe ) have done.

just my opinion and pennies worth

They are also providing malware & age screening services.

Re: Attending the .XXX webinar.

And I believe it’s also in their T’s & C’s that they have control over what you use your domain for and can shut you down whenever they feel like it.

I worry that people are so quick to forget the attempted war Bush waged against freedom of the Internet. With the rise of the Tea Party, it’s not such a stretch to imagine a president who submits to the right-wing Christian lobbyists.

And if .xxx succeeds, those who give them money for any kind of service have made it far easier for those lobbyists to destroy our industry overnight.

Re: Attending the .XXX webinar.

conran and others are absolutely right! Be strong webmasters and don’t give in and buy a .xxx domain!

The only bright spot might be if ICANN ever gets around to opening the floodgates to other TLDs, like dot anything. The idea has been floating around but so far no action. If the day comes when people can get a dot anything domain then dot XXX will become irrelevant.
