Are there still good domain names?

Is it possible to still find good domain names?

Or is it just easier now to go and buy already registered domain names rather than even trying to find a new one.

If so, where are good places to buy registered domain names?

Re: Are there still good domain names?

What is your budget and what type of names are you looking for?

Re: Are there still good domain names?

Budget… well that depends. If it would be a name I would be totally in love with, a few thousand i guess. Othewise 500-1200. It really depends though.

The name? Either a totally made up word or something to do with web sites, directory, porn sites…

Now days I do think i would rather go for a made up single word domain name rather than a standard “gay-best-porn-sites-now.com”.

a good example is pornication (I didnt get that one but got pornisation instead).

unless its actually
What is your budget and what type of names are you looking for?
Re: Are there still good domain names?

i still find good domain names, although it does take longer. i’ve also been known to buy domain names if they rock.

Re: Are there still good domain names?

URL buying and selling is going to be the next real estate boom.

Are there still good houses available in good neighborhoods? Yes, but you gotta pay a lot for them. Same with urls.

Re: Are there still good domain names?

What is the correlation between a domain name, and SEO and traffic results?

How does the spelling of a domain name garner a higher SEO or traffic than title, description, keywords and content?

Re: Are there still good domain names?

I’d say that yes, absolutely, there are still good domain names to be had, and without putting a second mortgage on the house to buy one. Quite a few folk that wander this board will attest that I frequently give them heads up tips or help finding a domain that’s registerable for the $7.95 at your favorite registrar.

Re: Are there still good domain names?

Yes yes yes, absolutely. I will PM you some domains that are available right now.

Re: Are there still good domain names?

Certainly there are still good domains out there. You just need to be creative. Grab a thesaurus and start combining words. And seriously, Bjorn, have a tete-a-tete with Bec, she’s one of the most awesome people when it comes to finding domain names. She just found some beauties for me yesterday. She kicks ass.

Totally agree - when we set up the agency we couldnt think of a decent name, and the word “forbidden” popped into my head, then just randomly added the word “red” and it worked !

Re: Are there still good domain names?

I do really like ForbiddenRed, its easy to remember, easy to do a logo, branding etc. It combines Forbidden, which sex is all about and Red which stands for passion etc. Really good.

Domain names makes a big different. You can quite easily see it on some search terms like “gay porn blog” or “gay blos”, a lot of the domains on the first pages have the words in the domain names.

But 2nd best if you dont have domain name thats good for SEO, just use folder names that are good instead.
