Are discreet billing names still a thing these days?

I know with existing sites, that this is kind of entrenched and cannot be walked back, but do companies who start new sites still employ the alternate billing moniker, or have times changed and with more sex positivity, are potential members willing to have more descriptive names showing on their statements?

Pros to discreet billing are that it serves both people who dont care, and those who do.
Cons are that people who forget what they bought or dont pay attention to the name are more likely to reverse a charge they don’t recognize, maybe without bothering to look up who it’s from.

This is an interesting question and one I would like to know the answer to.
I only have two active memberships (for work purposes :)) but both of those are discreet and I think they’re under a more subtle umbrella brand for the sites.

Surely it would make sense for them to still be discreet, right?

If you do subtle make sure your CS is in order. Most companies still do subtle.
