and you thought porn sites were bad?

i’ve had a grandfathered account at bally’s fitness for like 10 years. it doesn’t cost much, but a relative has a monthly membership under my account that bills from my checking. today i called to cancel his monthly membership since he’s now going to another gym and guess what - you have to pay the amount of one month’s membership as a cancellation fee LOL

imagine the noise from users and visa if porn sites did that!

Health clubs/gyms are notorious for this type of thing. I now try to pre-pay for my memberships. That way they have nothing to rebill.

I recently went through a nightmare with LA Fitness. They require you to cancel thirty days in advance (which I did). Yet they still say I owe for an extra month. Yet it’s nowhere in the agreement.

Once I told them to F-off in probably the meanest way possible, they finally stopped calling.
