AMG / AthleticModelGuild.com non payment!

Re: AMG / AthleticModelGuild.com non payment!

when i last reviewed the site the videos they were adding for updates weren’t classic videos - they were modern porn videos.
i don’t mean to revive a dead thread but i just saw that AMG has apparently redone their website. (it’s old news but i just saw it). i see that a “New Affiliate Program Coming Soon!”

are people still out money?

if they are it’s too bad cuz i’ve always been a MAJOR fan of that ‘classic’ look.
Re: AMG / AthleticModelGuild.com non payment!

Very good idea there, except he doesnt respond. Rather than dealing with it he ignored me. I most definitly through our correspondance got the feeling that Affilaites are not anything cares about and that he has much more very important things to deal with.

What really got me going is that he doesnt feel owing people money is a problem or something that needs to be addressed instead ignoring it.
Ask to see a copy of that canceled check for $501.16.

That is if you can actually get him to respond…

So his affiliates numbers are messed up, he doesn’t know why, but he knows for certain that he has paid you $501.16 and owes you $8.94, but the numbers are wrong.

Interesting.

If he was going to play the “everything is messed up game,” he should have at least been smart enough to not use the numbers in his favor and then claim they are messed up when they need to be in your favor.
This was a similar topic on another board 2 or more years ago.

Re: AMG / AthleticModelGuild.com non payment!

Yes, I’m fairly sure I wasn’t the only one with problems. I’m guessing that they had issues with the affilaite system and rather than solve it just closed it and moved on, without paying any affiliates.

Re: AMG / AthleticModelGuild.com non payment!

And this is how people earn a reputation…

Re: AMG / AthleticModelGuild.com non payment!

Perhaps since the site (and content) has been around forever, he thinks he can rely on type-in, SE and other organic traffic?

Either way, that’s not a good model. Affiliates will always add to your bottom line if you manage a good program.

He is risking his reputation (and apparently has in the past, too) over a $500 payment. Not cool.

Re: AMG / AthleticModelGuild.com non payment!

when i first heard of the sale to the new owners i was excited cuz i thought AMG must have a tremendous library and the new company could simply remaster and release that content over time. (From what i’ve heard though, the library probably needs the skills of experienced archivist) but rather than protecting and reviving the AMG brand the immediately when Brazilian.

The MBA in me just sees so many mistakes that have been made there that it makes me want to cry.

Agreed. What did the new owners pay for if they decided to take the company in a completely new direction?

GayDemon is wise to track the programs that he promotes. For me lately, not one or two months go by where I just happen to discover tracking problems, reporting problems or that my original links have stopped working.

I think that affiliate programs often are installed out of the box, and the programmers who make alterations to the site make honest mistakes. Perhaps this extends to the sales reporting that they recieve as well.

I agree, I find problems all the time. But as you say its often honest mistakes. It unfortunate when its otherwise and its people being dishonest, thankfully that doesnt happen as often.
