2257 record location requirements

I just started with nude male photography and have been collecting copies of government issued IDs for 2257 compliancy. My question is, do I have to publish a physical address where I keep the records? I don’t want my home address (out of where I work) on my website. If a physical address is absolutely required by 2257, will a PO box suffice?

They haven’t done any inspections of records in so long and honestly if they were going to start they would probably start with Twitter and other social media platforms. Are you technically supposed to have a physical address that is open between certain hours? Yes you are but not many studios have this. As for a PO Box that would definitely not suffice.

Thanks. Do you know, then, am I required to post a physical address on my website, or can I just say “contact the records keep at…”?

Yes, you are supposed to publish a physical address for the custodian of records…we have https://www.belamionline.com/2257info.html linked from EVERY page of the website

I was told the 2257 address didn’t nee to be on the movies themselves. Is that true?

right, it is the publisher that needs to have them available, for example, we need to forward a copy of all the paperwork to NakedSword to enable them to show our movies on their site as they will be deemed the publisher of all material on their site.

Thanks for this, @BelAmiOnline. I contacted an adult industry attorney and he confirmed the same. That yes, you need to post a physical address where the records are kept (even if they are kept in cloud storage) and if you want to get technical, it is supposed to be address that is accessible during normal business hours. I didn’t ask about video productions, just websites in general so, yes you have to post the address on your website.
