Hi all, I was trying to edit the previous thread started by Mary, but I ended up deleting the whole thread instead of just one post. My spologies to everyone involves, here’s the email that was sent out by the company on December 8. / Michael

We are proud to announce that we have formed a new company, Carnal Media, which has just purchased the Gunz Blazing Network. We will also produce several of our own websites and market them in the network going forward.

Gunz Blazing is a historic network with more than two dozen websites and a solid reputation of trust with affiliates that spans more than two decades. We took over the network a few weeks ago, moved the headquarters to the US and laid out a plan for several exciting changes.
Our new Carnal Network will have two separate content offerings: Gunz Blazing Amateur, including several new amateur site offerings, and Carnal Media Premium featuring mostly the new sites we will launch in upcoming months.

We will have weekly affiliate newsletters for both our amateur and premium content offerings. These changes will greatly enhance the ability of our affiliates to promote the sites in our new Network.

In light of the many questions we have received about our business, we need to clarify that we are no longer associated with Mormonboyz, the site that we created 9 years ago while on our honeymoon, a site that we loved and cherished as it grew and won awards, but now does not exist in its original form, having been rebranded. Additionally, we have left our original company, MetaVentures, and we are no longer the CEO and Manager of, or even affiliated with, chargedmedia sites that we launched (FamilyDick, etc) associated with chargedcash. We are happy to hear your opinions about our former sites because we know they were beloved by many of you, but we have no control over the content or where the sites are going, and we would never dream of saying anything negative about our former business partners.
This is an exciting time for us. We brought over our best team members from MetaVentures, and are joined by members of the Gunz team who are staying on. GunzBlazing is an impressive network of gay content. In the next few months we will provide better materials and improved support. We have brought with us the exclusive and famous talent that has made our content some of the most unique and recognizable in the industry. Our new network is gay-owned and gay-operated.

Given our track record, we expect to see traffic and conversions on existing network sites double in our first year. GunzBlazing is one of the best affiliate networks on the web, and we are going to make it an even better opportunity for our affiliates. There will be tons of new content, and new opportunities to reach paying customers.

We hope you are as excited as we are about this new chapter in the gay side of the adult industry, and we look forward to working with all of you to make all of us a lot of money!

I’m not sure where this process is at.
Looking at our stats in CarnalCash… I hope that transition is not finished because that means our sales are even lower after the switchover.

Now that I can log in, I’ll start grabbing the new links. I forgot how crappy MPA3 can make that process for mega-programs like this. One at a time…

Hello All,

This is Andrew from ye olde Gunzblazing. Firstly, THANK YOU. We totally get that more information is needed - the initial email posted here was the first of several, and more details are needed and coming.

As a FYI, GunzBlazing was on the original version of MPA3 with many, many custom modifications and needed to be updated to the most recent version for ongoing fidelity. This wasn’t a decision taken lightly. For a variety of reasons it had been put it in the too hard basket for a long time but change of ownership was the perfect chance to do something sorely needed to such old tech. We are working directly with Oystein and their devs to migrate ALL data to the new install. It will be the same database and the same system (no need to update links or username/pass), but at a new URL. The CarnalCash domain switch means that there will be a brief period where the link codes are not showing up but any interruption should be incredibly minor.

Legrand and his partner learned a lot during the transition to NATS in 2017 and will not be repeating any mistakes made then. And we learned a ton during the AEBN transition. Working with Legrand and MPA3 closely, I can say that Legrand, myself and MPA3 are VERY interested in making this transition to the newest version of MPA3 a success, and having the best possible outcome from our revamp of not just our cash program, but also our sites and product offerings.

Finally, I’d just like to say and echo some of the sentiments here that Gunz is a bit of a grand old dame with faded glory and that Legrand and his partner are the only people I trust to bring her back up to her former state. Whilst we did certain things very well, especially tools and promotional media, our content needed some oversight from people who genuinely know and love gay porn production and marketing. After so many years doing the same thing in a changing environment, GunzBlazing needed the type of energy we have all seen Legrand and his husband (and their team) bring to their projects like Mormonboyz and FamilyDick. And I don’t think that’s a big admission on my part.

Working with Legrand has been like warped out of a 9-5 time card stamping 50’s machinery plant into a young tech start up. From top to bottom the energy, systems and promotional integration that literally starts at the scripts going before the camera was a bit of a rude shock to me, peering behind the curtains at how things should actually be done farm to plate. I don’t really want to say much more because it will sound like empty platitudes but the fact is, you’ve seen what they did with Mormonboyz when no one thought that was an idea that would go anywhere. Then after a long wait, they launched another passion project of theirs Family Dick, so in just the last two years you’ve seen what they’ve done, and paired with the gunz blazing promotional tools which remain some of the best in the industry, I have high hopes for Gunz/Carnal in 2019.

When will the new system be live and do we then switch to using the codes from Carnal instead of gunz?

I hope that the new managers will pay attention to their join pages because that below is definitely not my affiliate id. It’s been almost a month, and we’re still sending visitors for free. I understand it’s a tough process, but it’s really good to speed things up. <input type=hidden name=webmaster value=‘100002’>

Could it be that this is your Carnal Cash webmaster ID (which is different from your previous Gunzblazing webmaster ID). I just followed some of my links and checked the join pages and they show the correct webmaster ID (the Carnal Cash one) for me.

#1 To My knowledge they haven’t instructed us to swap out links. As a matter of fact Andrew (With Gunz) said (no need to update links or username/pass) on the 27th of December.

#2 I just tried my links for Jalif Studio as provided by the old Gunz system and the new Carnal System.

As to bgmen’s post I’m seeing the same input field data he is seeing no matter which link of mine I try <input type=hidden name=webmaster value=‘100002’>.

There are subtle differences between them.

#1 The a= is w= in gunz links
#2 It appears that in the Carnal/Gunz system you can no longer generate PPS links. My old Gunz links are PPS hence the p=1 in the Gunz link vs the p=2 in the Carnal link.

Would be nice if we could get some clarification on what the status is with PPS moving forward. I also noticed in Gunz stats some of the sites that I always had PPS links for at some point in the past stopped paying PPS and started paying RevShare…

Not sure where they are at with the migration but visitor stats seem consistent to prior months for me but sales are down significantly or haven’t been migrated into the system yet.

Apologies, I just tried the link for Jalif and I am seeing the same thing: <input type=hidden name=webmaster value=‘100002’>.

I checked both of their new sites before (Growl Boys and My FTM Crush) and those show: <input type=hidden name=affiliate value=‘100828’>

I had updated my links before Andrew’s post here and since hits are being tracked, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to keep using the “new” links.
It does look like revshare is the only available option within Carnal Cash indeed.

I had asked them about PPS and revshare link, Legrand said that the default is now revshare. PPS links aren’t available in the affiliate area, but it is apparently possible if you contact them.

We will continue to provide updates and plan to send out a follow up newsletter with additional information and instruction when we confirm the migration is complete. Essentially the instructions will be simple:

1 - Go to carnalcash.com or gunzblazing.com (CLARIFICATION: after this first phase is complete, there will be no difference between the two. Simply two different domains that point to the exact same website.)

2 - Use your same login

3 - Confirm that all your data is there

4 - Contact us with any questions - In fact, contact me personally with any questions - [email protected].

As an FYI - We are not losing any of the kick-ass promo tools Gunz is known for, nor are we losing the programs that several of you mentioned. Please contact us if you would like PPS. By default our program will be a revshare program, but as we have done in the past on MBZ, we will work closely with active affiliates who promote our content and offer custom promotions and additional programs. Finally, as mentioned in our newsletter announcement, in the upcoming weeks we will be adding several new and very unique sites that will do as well or better than anything we have done before.

[B]Hi folks. Been a while since I posted here, glad to be back!

I wanted to weigh in here as both the owner of MPA3, and the longtime software partner of GunzBlazing.com, one of our original MPA3 programs. After the recent sale of Gunzblazing, I had several conversations with the new owners of the program about migrating GunzBlazing to newest version of our software. For a program as big and complex as Gunz, we knew it would be complicated, however, we didn’t anticipate some problems we would encounter during the switch. [/B]

Frankly, GunzBlazing is an unusual case. It has a suite of custom promotional tools that are quite advanced, which coupled with two decades of data and dozens of websites in the program it makes it quite different than other affiliate programs we have upgraded in the past. For most programs the switch to the latest version of MPA3 would be simpler. Indeed for most programs they would be gaining the tools and resources that GunzBlazing has been offering to affiliates for years. Because of this we have determined we must take a modular approach as we move Gunz to our latest software. Practically speaking that means we will still use the gunzblazing.com domain for now. If this changes, the new owners of Gunz will let you know in advance.

I would also like to specifically address a few concerns raised here. In response to BGMEN and Kevin (MOUNTEQUINOX) I want to state unequivocally that your sales have been tracked and will soon be visible again. Furthermore, you have not been sending traffic for free.

Allow me to explain. During the MPA3 switch, sales were logged in two places by our MPA3 programmer. Initially this was intended as a failsafe for data loss prevention to protect the GunzBlazing affiliates. However there was the unintended consequence of sales data not showing up. To be clear, your sales data was tracked just not visible during this process when you logged in to your affiliate profile on gunzblazing (or carnalcash). We are fixing this issue by merging all of your sales data so it will once again be visible in your affiliate admin. I have personally assured the new owners of GunzBlazing that this process will be completed by Friday. I am posting this message here today to offer that assurance to all of you.

[B]I’ll wrap this up by also stating that we have completed the initial stage of the MPA3 affiliate software update on GunzBlazing. We will continue to work closely with the new owners of GunzBlazing to pay attention to the affiliates who are part of this program and quickly address any issues that come up.

Hi everyone,

We have heard from MPA3 that all sales data has been carried over and should be visible now when you use your credentials to log in to gunzblazing.com. We will do the domain update to our new program name “CarnalCash” as a separate step, but only after we get confirmation from all affiliates that everything looks good on their end.

I’ve logged in as several affiliates as we have been working with MPA3 directly. While their programmer is saying that things are done, as we all know from experience…that doesn’t mean that we are in fact all the way there. One thing I can see there is an issue with some hits data not being there during the upgrade. In reviewing the system I can also see that sales data was not unaffected and is all there. There are ways to confirm this, but please log in and let me and MPA3 know if there is anything else that needs to be addressed before we can say that this part is finished!

Finally, we heard from some of you in this thread that you hoped that we were doing something with the sites as the new owners. The short answer is YES! Along with launching sites of our own, we will be doing house-cleaning and relaunching sites that remain in our network one at a time. We are bringing fresh eyes and our experience. We are open to feedback and look forward to working with all of you to have a fantastic year of growth for this program!
