So all the Google changes got me thinking. What are the tradditional ways of getting traffic to porn sites apart from Google, Yahoo etc?
From what I can figure its several ways which don’t always cross paths so to speak… There are link lists, but then TPGs thats a whole different area only open to specific type of sites, or? Then we have true traffic exchanges - link exchanges which purpuse is to get direct traffic rather then seo reasons… What else?
Well mainstream sites can use social network marketing. Having groups and fans on Facebook etc. They don’t allow adult sites as we have discovered, but there are gay sites like Gaydar (commercial profile), Fitlads, Recon etc. which might be worth investigating.
I’m surprised these networking/dating sites haven’t gone more Facebook like to cash in on the commercial side.
I reckon that could be quite a large traffic source.
I have had a profile on gaywatch . com for over a year with no problems. There are a lot of other adult pay sites and studios with profiles as well. I usually get a few hundred clicks every time I post links to a new FHG or a thumbnail of a new guy on my journal page. If I took the time to add friends regular like it could be lots more.

Well “traditional” makes me think of print advertising. I was shocked a few years ago when a guy with a DVD web site and I were talking and he knew nothing about SEO - drove all his web traffic with print advertising.
Another traditional method is e-mail marketing. I’ve got hundreds of people who get daily e-mails from me and the list grows steadily. Mind you - they see so much of me they probably don’t convert that well, but it’s still lots of eyeballs that have to convert some of the time.
