The revenue rollercoaster...

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

wow $299.00 for 12 months of stats remote… does it do miracles… I mean, it just checks your stats, right?

Regarding your post… mine are even more erratic and fluctuations are just insane. From record high days everz, to bottom low days everz… but I learned to live with it, since it became a pattern for almost whole 2010.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

We were expecting to pick up on sales towards the end of the month especially this weekend but it didn’t happed.:frowning:

Sales was very good during the first week of August but that was it.

And I can’t explain why July was our best month so far this year either…

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

Unless you only promote a handful of programs StatsRemote will save you countless hours. Money well spent.

We’ve put more of our focus on our pay sites and as a result have avoided the typical summer slump.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…
The business of trying to get people to buy memberships is unnerving sometimes. One day you do great, the next couple days you don’t do well at all, then it’s up again, and then down again…

I was looking in StatsRemote today at the graph of my daily sales so far this year… It’s literally all over the place…

What’s yours look like?
Does $/Unq or $/Raw follow the same pattern?

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

August has been the strangest month this year for me for sales as well. I’ll go a few days with just a few rebills and then have a $200-$300 day.

There are some strange things happening in the credit world I think. Add the fact that surfers have lost some trust due to shady tactics from some sponsors and it makes for a fickle market.

People get paid at certain times of the month and that’s probably a factor. Parents are shelling out mega bucks for school supplies for their offspring to utilize right now too remember. In this day and age that isn’t cheap.

Once the weather starts to get crappy again I think sales will pick up. Whether they’ll stop being erratic or not is a total mystery though.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

I promote 28 sites, but they are all on CCbill…

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

Long story, but that data is not accurate for me in Stats Remote, so I can’t say.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

I’d say just hold on, labor day is only a week off and parents are having to stock up on vodka for back to school time.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

Well I’ve just had the worst day of the year AND the best day of the year all in the same week. Yesterday the best all year and Wed or Thur the worst. The best day wasn’t due to Rebills either, it was plain new sales. As if people just got home from holidays and could not wait to wank off to some porn.

Buying patterns are just off the scale this year. I don’t think any of us (USA, UK, EU) is through the economic downturn, probably just right in the middle of it still.

I don’t care what they say on the news, everyone I speak to keeps saying how bad things are - as in daily life, food cost, savings, earning etc.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

Yep, and some economists fear that the worst is yet to come and we haven’t even hit the lows yet.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

I prefer to think positively about this. By October I look forward to sales kicking ass. I can’t make that prediction of course, but I’m going to think that way and am not going to budge.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

a lot of webmasters promote hundreds or even thousands of sites, so you can see where stats remote comes in VERY handy!

how do you get the chart display like that? i didnt know Stats Remote does that

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

Right click on the total row.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

Can I ask a question here? While I see swings, yours are off the scale! Seeing it’s dollars being recorded, do you have mostly PPS sponsors? I ask becuase I would have thought rebills would help smooth out the swings much more than your graph seems to show.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

the swings are insane now. from day to day and week to week. although 2010 better than 2009, although 09 was the bottom.

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

I think looking at daily stats is not a good indicator. I’ve been in this business since 2003 and have always had wide daily swings. Granted, the swings are bigger now but looking at monthly or even weekly stats gives a better picture of the overall ups and downs.

These are for my affiliate sales only, not my membership sites:

Re: The revenue rollercoaster…

No, I’m mostly rev share.

I see what Seth sees - things only smooth out when you look at longer periods. The day to day is unnerving sometimes…
