Very surprising. I bought some ads from him a couple of months ago and the traffic was decent, but now that I think about it, he never contacted me to renew, which seems odd.
Hope he’s OK.

both webmasters are from Istanbul, when I bought some ads time ago I sent the wire transfer to Istanbul

I would find it very hard to beleave it had anything to do with the recession. As per alexa he was still getting very good traffic. If he couldn’t make money with that kindof traffic there was something wrong.

yes, also is the owner of musclemovies.com, some month ago told me if I want to buy this site, but the price was too high.

When the price being asked is far more than a respectable price to earnings ratio. Many businesses are sold on a valuation of 2 times annual net earings, some a little higher, some lower, depending on the outlook for continued income / growth over the next few years. When this ratio starts getting to 5 or more, the owner is valuing his good will and perceived value too high, and is not basing his sales price on a reality based valuation of the actual business.

Very well put, his percieved value was far beyond reality.
Even so, it makes no sense at all for the altagaylinks to go offline, it must still have made some good money, more than enough to pay for hosting.

I personally wouldn’t pay more than 6 months revenue for an adult site unless it had a really good brand name.

First, i called to Bruno about 10 days ago. He is fine and have some prob. in his life…Not important things. He said, i will return soon (i hope)
and i want to inform you about my site. Becasue i saw some wrong messages.
hunkmen.com is not owned by altagaylinks.com we were partner about 8 years ago (yes, 8 yrs. but some people still saying hunkmen.com and altagaylinks.com owned by same guy)
We are different sites. There is no partnership or etc. between us. we are only friends.

Np Tarkan, glad to hear Bruno is doing ok. I have been a bit worried about him, after all both of your directory’s are the cornerstones of our industry.
I do hope Bruno gets to feeling better soon, and if he needs any help I am sure we can work out a deal to redirect some traffic for awhile to help pay a few bills.
