So the latest news hitting us poor Wordpress Bloggers is Technorati delisting blogs that haven't been upgraded to at least 2.3.3 due to serious security holes and hacking that has been going on. :bang:

What is really ticking me off too, is that many of these supposed hacks are coming due to the 'free themes' that people download, from outside the Wordpress Release Depository, or the Author's Web Page.

You can READ MORE HERE (http://weblogtoolscollection.com/archives/2008/04/08/vulnerable-wordpress-blogs-not-being-indexed/) and also MORE HERE (http://dougal.gunters.org/blog/2008/04/08/upgrade-or-else)

These posts are all inspired from Technorati, (http://technorati.com/weblog/2008/04/424.html) but the truth be told, upgrading seems to be a mantra, with some justification.

So have you upgraded yet?

Truly it doesn't as long as you haven't done a lot of modifications or such, their so called five minute update takes me a bit longer, but then I like to double, triple check, the instructions before going ahead... still it isn't too bad considered some of the other software updates. :bang:

Dont want to hijack the thread, but im just upgrading my Movable Type templates to Movable type 4. Its hell!!!! They decided to change how all templates look and work.

There are good reasons why people dont like upgrading..

Just like new cars, soon as the warranty expires, everything breaks. :bang: makes you wonder if the designer make sure things only last for the warranty, and it seems like coder's are doing the same... soon as you upgrade, a new one is rolling out fixing what wasn't included in the last upgrade that fixed what wasn't in the upgrade before that and on and on it goes :bad:
