I was surfing the net and discovered several Brazilian blogs, all of which seemed to be jam packed with moving type and auto-playing music. I went to about 50 blogs.
Was this a strange coincidence, something culturally inspired, or what? Anyone know?

oh yeah....most latin american sites are jam packed with flash everything and music and loads of colour and such. It IS totally cultural...I live in Panama and not a day goes by without someone shooting off fireworks during the middle of the day - because they love the noise.

Wow. Do the blogs (somehow) load any faster/better there? Or do they just put up with it? It's always a cluster fuck when I go the site.

I noticed that as well, I can't stand them. Part of it is culture but also from seeing who submits them to bestmaleblogs, lots are owned by the same person.. yet they dont seem to be very commercial.
