Some of these captcha images are really hard to interpret sometimes. Many times I have to reload the page to make sense of what the captcha image is showing..... (is that an S or a 5, a lower or uppercase W etc). I just went round and round with one site where no matter what I did, nor how many times I refreshed and reentered the images I was shown, it always said that it was wrong....
Just venting because sometimes it can be so frustrating..

Oh god, I know what you mean. My eyes are getting really bad and I have to get about 2 inches from the monitor and try and figure those damned things out.. usually wrong. Doesn't this board have the "refresh" thing when signing up? I think I had to click it about 20 times before I found one I could figure out.
I put the image verification on a model submission form, and I know I'm losing models because of it. With the bots and stuff, there isn't much of an alternative though.

I really hate them as well. Heck registering here it took me three or four tries to get the right combination. And my eyes are old too, but it is life I suppose. Really wish there was an easier way, like maybe blowing up the scammers so we don't need captcha?

Sometimes I think they are impossible. There was one site that I was ordering software on one day, and I had to seriously refresh the whole page for a new captcha probably 10 times, each of those times I had to re-enter all of my information.
I would have left immediately if I didn't absolutely need it.
