why are there so few gay spanking sites?

there are TONS of straight spanking sites, ranging from those that make the asses just a little pink to serious spankings that leave the asses deep red and sometimes welted. there aren't that many gay spanking paysites, and of the few, most go medieval on those tender buttcheeks. i don't recall seeing a paysite featuring the kind of playful fun paddling and spanking that a lot of people enjoy - spanking that causes enough pain to be punishment, but doesn't leave deep bruising for a week or two or leave the recipient in helpless hysterical tears.

i know plenty of subs that like a spanking that hurts but doesn't cause damange. why do you suppose there aren't sites featuring that kind of spanking - and why aren't there more spanking sites in general?

I have to agree. I helped someone set up a twink flogging blog and he's having a tough time finding content.

If someone started a nice big site it would clean up in sales I'm sure.

It's very unfortunate, it sells extremly well and to be honest doesnt have to be "on the edge" to sell.

Spanking as a niche or fetish doesnt necccesssarily have to be very hard or extreme at all. I think the problem is few understand the niche and think its extreme content which it is not.

The Russians / East European done a few sites but are absolutly terrible because they have no idea what it is or understand it, they just know it sells very well.

I would have to agree totally on this issue.

Both of us are into spanking, and that is why we have a spanking site. We go to spanking parties, etc. all the time and meet and talk with other spanking fans.

One of the main reasons we started our site, was because we could not find the type of content we wanted to watch anywhere...VHS, DVD or online....so we thought we would make some for ourselves. Selling it was/is still secondary to us simply exploring and having fun with our fetish.

I think that in order to do a fetish site well, the person in artistic control of the site needs to actually be "into" the fetish at hand. Otherwise the site will just suck.

However, as a producer of spanking videos, I am glad there are not more sites out there....but quite frankly, we welcome more...because nothing helps sell a good spanking site like a bunch of bad ones. 666

That being said, there are quite a few sites though. I can think of about 20 off hand, but I only think a handful of them are any good.

Helix Studios / HelixCash runs SpankThis.com. It's pretty good, and the owner's approach to twink discipline is pretty easygoing. They have tons of scenes on there too.

Some of the spanking sites that I have seen from the Europeans, produced I'm assuming by straight people for gay markets, just looks weird to me. Maybe awkward is a better description term.

I've made some sales for SpankThis, and I've always thought that if I ever promoted the genre more on my sites, I'd probably sell even more.

OH -- and also here's something else to consider. COLT Studio Group has released some very good movies in their Buckshot movie line where younger guys get introduced to the leather scene or stray off into bondage. They released a pretty fun movie this year called Beg for It. Kris Weston, their director, is a BDSM enthusiast, which shows in his finished film products. Although I've moved off topic... that's not spanking. Still, when thinking of new options in these edgier areas, you can consider COLTcash.
