okay, it's friday and time for me to check out all the blog content that's been sent my way this week. choosing blog content used to be a fun and easy part of my week. let's see what this week has in store.

ah, of course. small vidcaps (god forbid they should send them full sized) that the webmaster tried to improve by blurring them all to take out the grain. recycle bin. next? a sort of plain guy who might be useable had they sent us any pics when his dick wasn't limp. next? two folders with names like 39tjsp3u6.zip with unwatermarked pics. the pics don't stand out, so i don't want to spend time figuring out what sites there are from. delete! next? hmmm... 5 pics of a guy, 4 of which show him in close to the exact same position. next! ah! 12 pics of 2 guys fucking only every shot that shows any action is so dark i can't make out what it is or fix it in photoshop. a cute amateur. pics are good, but they are in the exact - and i mean exact - same positions, closeups and location as the pics from this sponsor every week for over a year. oh, dear.

thank god for a few progarms like blakemason, uknakedmen and college dudes 24/7 or i think i'd be doing this right now :bang:

It does make you wonder..

Some really good blog sites have far bigger, higher quality and nicer pictures. But do they request or have some special arrangement to get those I wonder?

I'm sorry to hear that - as you already know (or may not) we always use our own exclusive content that we've shot to help illustrate what Cam and I write about - its fun working with behind the scenes shots as well as using some out-takes and other fun stuff.

Since we don't use a "blog" program to run our blog, we do everything by "hand" - that includes writing all the text and laying into the index pages along with the photos and everything else we've shot on the set or around the studio, home and on trips...

I'm not sure if this adds a lot of time to updating our blog twice a week but it sure makes it very unique and homemade... and fun too.

Its also gets the third highest number of hits on our site. I wonder if it would be as successful if we had used a "blog" program as everyone had suggested. Oh well, you know us, we're always going against convention.

This is exactly why we asked for feedback before starting our RSS feeds. We use big images, a variety of embedded content (pics, videos, screencaps, reviews, etc), promote a variety of sites (either based on a theme like latinos or just general like gay movies), update every 2-3 days and keep it all top quality :D

Ah, I love praise from Patti! :D

Thanks for the compliment! We really do put a lot of thought into pic selection for affiliates. We try to give an even mix of clothed and nude
shots and a variety of poses from each set. And we rarely offer screencaps. 90% of the time, video updates come with high-quality photos in addition to a 2 minute preview video.

Picking the pics for affiliates is one of the hardest parts of my job.

One blogger runs an uncut blog and wants uncut. One runs a big dick and wants big cocks (when they are 9 inches erect, they don't look uncut), one blogger wants lots of rimming...

I have the same problem as you Patti!

thanks for the compliments. I try and name the folders BM_ModelName. Maybe I should do the same with the pics. Never thought of that one before.

I have found that when I write the post and actually name the folders with BM that more affiliates do use the content. I LOVE my bloggers...

Ok. Off to write a blog post for my big dick blogger and my uncut blogger. Then I need to make a collage for each of them. (That's how I solved that problem!)
