Just curious about people's experience of using Flash previews in their tours. I have a separate page for my WMV previews but I was thinking about using Flash instead on my film pages. Any thoughts? And does size matter? lol

I find the Flash videos are easier to deal with. Firefox doesn't always like WMVs and won't play them unless the browser has the proper extension.
But you'll also want to read this post (http://www.gaydemon.biz/showthread.php?t=8888).
Cheers

I think personally if you use flash on tour pages you should also make it clear that the videos are available in other formats inside the members area. If they are also downloadable definitly point that out.
If you just put up flash videos and not mention other formats surfers might assume that its the only format you have and could be put off by that.
Flash is very good format if its used properly and can really show off your content to the widest possible audience (if done correctly, swfobject etc).

i've seen a lot of paysites with flash videos on the tour that don't have them in the member area. this could be a problem for guys who can watch the tour videos but not the member videos, so it would definitely be a good idea to list the member area formats clearly if you use flash previews but not flash member videos. probably also be a good idea to have a "test video" for each format, so potential members can make sure they can play the formats you have.
