ah, it's that time again. i'm writing to programs asking for logins so we can update more reviews. so far, out of the first 15 i emailed i've heard from one after 3 days (thanks, paul!).

now, i realize that 3 days isn't that long. on the other hand, i'm not waiting for a letter to arrive in the physical mail - sending an email takes seconds. logging into ccbill or whatever takes less than a minute.

last time i did this, i was still hearing from people after months - and didn't hear back from a surprising amount out of hundreds of emails.

but it does make me wonder - how long do you consider too long to wait for a response when you email a program?

I'd consider anything over a week too long. It reflects badly on how things would be dealt with if there was a problem if they can't even respond timely when you're promoting them.

I'd agree, a week to ten days max. It does make you wonder about some of those in business, that ignore emails from potential money making requests. Definitely does make you wonder how they handle customer support. :bang:

That's exactly it. These are business relationships.

I would say that 24 to 48 hours is a good response time from program owners or managers. If they have to be away where they cannot respond in that time frame, then put up an auto responder that states this as the case and maybe refer them to contact someone else in the company, if their inquiry is important and cannot await the described time frame of return.

I don't think you should have to wait very long at all - like maybe a half day or so...

Even though we travel a great deal, we stay on top of e-mail via our iPhone(s) and lappy and will respond as quickly as possible. Its the least we can do when given the opportunity to have someone review barebackMasters.com

Either we're really efficient or an exception to the rule here...

We also need to stay on top of store sales in our store or member issues, or affiliate needs or fielding questions from our distributor or post production staff... and other responsibilities that may pop up while on the road - its all part of being a "responsible" producer -
