Well it seems that WP 2.8 has some bugs. Like that is news? :bang:
Version 2.8.1 is supposedly going to address those issues, such as categories being screwed due to incompatible themes or such.
Memory hogging from the admin dashboard is also being addressed, which is something that makes me wonder, how they didn't find that one out before the actual release of 2.8.
Then there is the adding of security, for plugins that uh, well don't check properly for permissions, so that is also being addressed.
Anyhow, if you have some of those issues, the beta version of 2.8.1 (http://wordpress.org/development/2009/06/wordpress-2-8-1-beta-1/) is out, that addresses those and a few others. More are being worked on, so one assumes the next release will have the complete bug fix. whistle
