:bang: yep I am totally blond. I have to be to have missed this little plug in from Wordpress. An automatic upgrade plugin for WP itself, not the plugins but the whole sheebang.

Plug In Download Page Here (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade/)

Plug In Author's Page Here (http://techie-buzz.com/)

From some of the comments on many blogs those that used this plug in had no headaches really, and I know, I am gonna give this one a try for one of my blogs that needs updating.

I hate using FTP, and all that so hopefully this plug in does what the others claim it does.

gotta love how the author supports file sharing... sounds like he's a huge fan of rapidshare the likes :/

i wonder how much "free" software/videos/etc he has...

yeah i noticed that, but hell, if it means easier upgrades, I'll take the plugin and ignore the 'paypal donate' like the plague 666

If a WP plugin works well and doesn't slow down my sites or cause any havoc then I usually donate a few bucks. I've put together a few plugins for others CMS's and it's not easy work.

Just my humble opinion.

And yes, that plugin works like a charm. Fairly painless upgrading with it.

I agree, I normally donate a few bucks myself, but as pointed out, the guy supports rapidshare, and that is a bit, well, just don't seem right.

Still, if the plugin works, then WOOHOO!
