paysites with misleading tours

after years of writing reviews for other sites, and writing some for my own, i've found plenty of sites out there that don't have their own video content - or often any content except rented plugins. and i don't actually have a problem with this. after all, newbie surfers might have a blast with all those feeds.

but then i run into sites that have no videos or pics of their own and yet they claim to offer exclusive content, high quality videos, etc.

and what really annoys me is that many of those sites don't even bother to find feeds in the niche of their sites. they just throw up the same feeds in all their sites, and if the feeds don't actually cover some of the sites, oh well.

i'm used to every site in the known universe claiming DVD quality content when they don't offer it. that doesn't really annoy me much. what does is a tour built around a certain niche of content that they don't even offer in 2 feeds in the member area even though there ARE existing feeds in their sites' niches. i mean, come ON - how hard would it be to just add relevant feeds???

i feel that they're training more surfers not to trust porn sites - a very bad idea for all of us.

I think one of the most screwed up site tours I've seen recently was a tour that featured all sorts of video clips, advertised a giant hardcore collection blah blah - then I go inside and there is one (count em, ONE) hardcore video, with the rest of it being solo softcore. That was a wee bit confusing, and I could only imagine how pissed I'd have been had I been the one joining that site.

You would think they'd know the difference, but I think a lot of it comes from the attitude of screw the surfer, let's grab the cash that seems to have become so dominant these days.. and yeah, it is giving the whole industry a rotten name IMHO. :bang:

that's why surfers use torrents and rapidshare and illegal tubes, been fucked too many times :( sites are just as much to blame as the illegal shit....just a fact :(

i've been ripped off too a few times, since i actually like porn and have fetishes and nothing worse than paying 30 bux to find shit when the tour showed you what you wanted.

Well, running a pay site with original and exclusive content isn't cheap - I know! But to promise and not deliver only leads to customers cancelling and charging back.

While I was in Phoenix I got introduced to so many "behind the scenes" players who wanted to promote and help my site... I heard the term "you're doing it right, and you're doing it well" so many times. All those cookie-cutter sites with tours that promise the world but don't deliver should't get any promotion as far as I'm concerned. They are the ones who make it sooo much harder to make a living in this business and destroy consumer trust.
