what do y'all use for creating rss feeds?
suggestions?
Are you asking about feeds produced by blogs that can be used as affiliate tools? Or just have an html based site and you want a feed created of it?

option (a) bec! looking to make an affiliate tool and/or use on my own blogs
Are you asking about feeds produced by blogs that can be used as affiliate tools? Or just have an html based site and you want a feed created of it?
Option 1. Build a blog IN Blogs Organizer and pick up the Affiliate Module so that your affiliates get credit when they use your feeds on their blogs. http://www.cheapestadultscripts.com/affiliates/click.php?ref=demonduck&page=http://bo.cheapestwebsoftware.com/affiliatemodule.html
Option 2. If you use Nats, I believe they have a trackable rss feed tool available.
Option 3. http://www.wojfun.com/adult/wordpress_affiliate_plugin/ I haven't tried this one, but Jeff (RDude) with Scally lads just hooked it up, and the feed looks good.
Option 4. http://www.morphfeeds.com/ Again, I have no experience in setting it up, but am using feeds by sponsors that are using them without any real issues.

We use #3 and it works like a charm. It's a plugin for WP and the developer is ALWAYS on icq and ready to help you. It's $100 well spent. Plus, you can use the blog as a hosted blog as well. I have been hooking webmasters up with this that want RSS feeds and/or a hosted blog.

p.s. Option #2 sucks. Horrible.
Just remembered
option 5. http://www.ccbtools.com/ -- requires monthly payment for using the tools system, which includes a lot more than just blog feeds that are affiliate encoded.

we use option 1, it ROCKS!!!
option 2 is only for hosted blogs - not for feeds
never used option 3
option 4 leads to blog entries that make no sense

Thanks for adding us as an option Bec!
We have a lite version of CCBTools that is just a one time payment of $50 for the install. It included 5 tools and then can be upgraded at anytime to our full system. Its a great way to try us out!

I'm not seeing anything about a Lite version? What 5 tools are included? Not seeing it on the order page either? Can you stop back and explain at more depth what you get for the $50 install?

My pleasure and am glad it is of help.
If you elaborate on the xml file you can really do
just about anything with the feed you want and not have
to spend money to do it.
If you have any questions feel free to ask as i have been doing
some feeds for a bit. If i have the answer would be more than happy to share it with you and the board

One note to the board that i forgot to mention yet very important.
Once you create your RSS Feed I highly reccomend going here:
http://www.feedvalidator.org/
to validate your feed to be sure there are no problems.
It also has solutions to problems with a feed if any are found.

THanks for the offer, really appreciate it. Already finished it, just that I hadn't given it much thought and saw how simple it was when I saw the article. Anyways, will hit you up if I have questions.
