I bit the bullet, as I had a project I wanted to use Wordpress on, and figured, hell, 2.5 is out, so I'd give it a shot.
I am impressed so far, I love the easy way to upgrade the plug ins, automatically, no ftp, nothing but click and it does it for you.
This could be fun. I'll post more later after I finish playing, as this is exciting lol

WOW
There is a lot changed from 2.3 to 2.5.
The entire admin area is totally revamped, and the editor has ways to upload images, videos, audio, that is exactly what I was looking for.
The style is changed, and it takes a bit to go looking for things, like options are now settings, and presentation is now design, but at the moment, after an hour of play, I am loving it.
I can't wait to start populating this sucker, in learning the features.
I really am impressed, as this is an upgrade where I actually feel, like something for the user has been done, rather than for the code geeks lol

It takes a bit of getting used to, the way they completely changed how things work, like the widgets. Really a bit more to it than before, and I love the tags too, and managing posts is changed as well.
It is like being a kid again, first trip into the candy store... whistle
I'm looking forward to the multiple image upload... but I'm scared to upgrade...

I was impressed how easy it went, mind you I had the plug ins all lined up first, and the new interface still had upgrades, which were one click upgrades that actually worked. Couple of plug in weren't compatible, and it wouldn't let them activate, but other than that, no headaches.
I did it with a small new site I am working on, so not a lot of posts, just in case, and I was impressed with how nothing got screwed, least that I have found.
I really am enjoying the interface, as I get used to it. It really is far more functional than the standard old one.

I have to agree with everything you said.
I am using it on a new site so I don't get my day ruined in case I find a problem

I am still enamored by the changes, even though I have to admit, the new 'write' section takes a bit of getting used to. I mean it is fine to start from scratch, but I am editing some earlier posts, and it is a bit less intuitive than I am used to.
I liked the ability to 'save & continue edit' 'save' features from before. Now, clicking the 'save' does save it, but also lets you continue. Now that is nice, but then to click to go do another you get a warning that changes made will be lost, though they aren't.
Still, the interface is great.
I am loving the instant upgrade feature in plugins, now if only they added that for themes, and for wordpress itself. That WOULD REALLY be fun then.
