Anyone here on Squirt.org?

I've had some friends tell me about how great that site is. I just tried to sign up but the signup process is long and torturous like singing up to eharmony so I got tired and left.

So can someone tell me why that site is so great? I guess its about sex listings. Whats so special about it that so many people like it?. thanks

It's not so great. I first tried signing up for that thing five-plus years ago. The bloody thing never worked properly, so I gave up. A year or so I managed to finally sign up (I guess they fixed it after all) and now all I get are admin messages from their system trying to get me to go to their sponsor's parties and remind me of stupid stuff.

They did seem to have some cool features but I could never use them because I'm not a paid member.

It used to be very good. At the time probably the only and the best cruising site around. That was until they did the changes you now see.

There used to be lots of free and great sections that didnt need you to signup or be a member. They had large amounts of traffic so in my view changing to members only was a huge mistake. The amount of traffic they had would have meant they should have been able to make easy sales here and there from even the smallest adverts.

Its one of those sites I think where the owner lost the passion for what they/he were doing and got greedy.

And this site is run by the people who run Toronto's gay and lesbian newspaper, Xtra! Back in the day, they used to run a whole bunch of phone sex lines, and still do, but I guess Squirt.org was their foray into the online game. They're not in adult, except for the phone lines, so they really have little experience in running an online site geared at adults. I think what we've been witnessing is their very public attempt to learn what works and what doesn't.

I've got a profile on Squirt, but only really saw value in it's listings of places to hookup. Sometimes when I travel I'll checkout the listings to see what there is in the other city... Bathhouse reviews, etc.
