wp youtube plugin prob

ok..
i downloaded and installed(apparently properly) Viper's Video Quicktags for quick youtube embedding.

of course it doesn't work for me..

i keep getting variation of http://www.youtube.com/v/d2AN7kBQOsw&hl=en

if i cut and paste the entire youtube embed code... i just get a box with a broken link :(

so what is do wrong? :bang:

is the youtube code right? that usually is where the errors come from, the id number of the video the dwAN7kB etc... has to be exact.

Haven't used Viper, but have Video Embedder and they show the code to use for youtube as being


Type zORv8wwiadQ in the editor to embed the video. so you might want to see if in the Viper options, it tells you if to use that extra bit that you have...

One other thing to check, is to go into 'code' view in your wordpress editor, and make sure that wordpress didn't add any extra tags to the line. If it has, delete the extra code and then save. That should work.

it wasn't clear that you only had to enter a portion of the url..
