Downloading .flv videos from a tour

I have been given permission by a site owner to download the promo videos on his tour page. However, they are .flv files and I can't seem to find a way to save them to my hard drive .... anyone know a trick to downloading these sorts of files? When I click on the download link, a new page opens and they play automatically ... the original link is the html page, not the file itself .....

You could create a temp html page on your system with links directly to those flv files. View it in your browser then right click and save.

I've done that before but there's probably a better way that someone will give you...

Try copy/pasting the full url into the address bar and hit enter. That should give you the File Save prompt for the folder name. Works for me with flv files all the time, but only sometimes with wmv files which sometimes start playing - have no clue why.

there's a firefox plugin to download embedded flash videos.
